Lazy, Not Traveling Home Yet

I was heading back to Oregon (home), today and my granddaughters asked me to stay one more night. The youngest asked me to until Christmas. I compromised and said I'll stay but have to leave before noon tomorrow.
It's a good thing since it's about five hours and I'm sleepy today.
I've been lazier but my son said I do more here than probably at home. I try to help but my bum says I'm sitting more than normal.
People are getting their trees up, Christmas music has begun and major shopping going on.
Black Friday was just another day but I did get three things for a total of $37. Trash bags, Quest chips and a mini-ice cream maker to freeze my protein shakes in. I'm happy.
My son, on the other hand, is an influencer and doing quite a bit of ordering. He gets a lot of things sent to him free, but he buys and demonstrates as well. He almost always makes his money back when he does order. His big buys today are fancy monitors.
I'm debating to see if a recliner I saw before is on sale. Did you buy anything today? Are you waiting for Cyber Monday?

I wouldn't touch Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales with a 39½-foot pole, but I am glad you found some deals.
I also don't shop on Christmas Eve. I was in labor and out with my mother, who needed to pick up a few things, so we went into Walmart, and customers almost stampeded me. The doctors kept sending me home because my cervix had not dilated. They thought I was having Braxton-Hicks contractions, but in reality, my son's body was too big for my body to do what it needed to do to push him out. It's a condition called dystocia. My son was a 10-Lbs, 21-inches long, and had a 15-cm. head. It's been 27 years since his birth, and I still won't shop anywhere other than the grocery store between Halloween and Valentine's Day.

The trash bags were a big need and I got them for a fraction of the price. I live very rural so saving in gas was a plus too. The ice cream maker was only $14 and I can freeze some protein drinks into ice cream. All are being shipped. You went through a time for sure. I thought my son was big at 9 lbs 6 oz and 22 inches but wow, 10 lbs. Glad it turned out OK but I get why you won't go out during certain times.

@noni1959 I live in a rural village and am blind, so I stay close and mostly shop in the small stores here. I try to have everything I might need during the holiday season before it starts.

I hoarded my money and my time. I worked at my sister's house, did her laundry thereby putting money IN my pocket. I did not fight traffic except at the gas pump. I need to do stuff at home now, but would love to nap.

Only once did we shop black Friday. My three teen kids wanted to buy stuff so my husband and I took them to Walmart to buy what they wanted. The lines were really long so the kids waited in line and we just walked around. It was just not worth it with those long lines.

I'm sure your granddaughters were happy that you decided to extend your trip a little longer.
I did get a few bargains on Black Friday and also today Cyber Monday. I'm always looking for a good sale or bargain.
