The photo shows the brick path we are paving for a couple who are having a run of bad luck at the moment. The man of the house did the part you can see but then had a very serious motor-cycle accident and will be in hospital for a long time.
Our niece and the man’s wife are friends. We are helping our niece and her father to finish off the path. We have to lay bricks to the right-hand edge of the photo where you can just see the car.
When we’ve finished the path area, we are going to pave where the stacks of bricks are at the moment. The lady hopes to put a small table and chairs there where they can sit.
The foreground is a cement slab and the ‘spots’ on it are flowers from the neighbour’s jacaranda tree. The path is now ready to pave but we can’t go back till Thursday. Hopefully, I’ll have an ‘after’ photo to show you on Thursday.

It appears that a lot of work needs to be done.

@marlina @Beestring The path is ready for the bricks now but the area to the side will be a bit of a headache.

@JudyEv I'm sure the couple will be happy with whatever you all can do to help them get more of it done, even if you don't get everything finished.

Mind your back while doing it. Quite generous of you and your husband for landing them a helping hand.

@arunima25 It's nice to be able to help and it's actually good for us to do this while we can. We get as much pleasure from it as the recipients.
