Happy Monday Everyone! here we are at the last Monday of November.
I've had a very busy last few days and took a break from being online. Thanksgiving was on Thursday and it was wonderful spending the day with family. It was especially nice seeing my oldest grandson and his now fiancé. Of course everyone gushed over their engagement and her ring is beautiful. They're talking about a small wedding maybe next year.
Friday was a day of just being tired
Saturday and Sunday we finished decorating the Christmas tree but it rained yesterday so that squashed our plans of doing the outside.
So now I have to do some cleaning this week and then we can finish putting out the rest of the decorations. Time to change the curtains in the dining room and put the holiday runners on the table and buffet.
It was nice having my granddaughter home from college for a few days and she's n her way back this morning. She won't be home again until right before Christmas
I managed to get some black Friday shopping done and it's always nice to get a bargain (especially these days with prices so high)
Today I'm tired and I wish my body could keep up with my brain.
My daughter is back at work so it's just a typical Monday for us.
It's really nice to be back to a routine day

It sounds like a routine day after a great weekend. It might be a pic of the engagment ring, on the finger is as close as I will get to seeing it in person, at least until the wedding...but we will see.

I'm so exhausted. Between Thanksgiving and today it's been busy so I don't know how much I'll get done today but I'm happy to stay on the computer for awhile and ignore the stuff that I should be doing.
Hope you do get to see the "ring" in person but even a picture would be nice.

@Marilynda1225 It was good. We went to sis's place, although she did not have an air mattress and my parents were sleeping on the couch. The boys were in their rooms. I just ordered her one for a Christmas present..

@snowy22315 those air mattresses are the best solution. I have one here and it's been a lifesaver.

I'm trying to keep within a budget for my shopping and I'm always looking for sales and bargains. Prices are ridiculous so getting a sale is a win win. Glad you were able to get some shopping done

@LadyDuck I don't think it's the end of inflation either. Actually with Christmas coming I think prices are going to get much worse.

You've been a busy lady; but I'm glad you spent time with family. We put up our teeny tree and have yet to put the wreath on the door. That's the extent of our decorating. Hope you have a wonderful day!

My tree is up and my wreath is on my door and that's as far as I've gotten too. Usually I put a few do dads around to brighten up the other rooms but I don't do as much as I used to. Every time I think of putting stuff out I remind myself it all has to go back away in January

I'm definitely in the Christmas spirit even though November isn't even over yet. I decided I wanted to get a jump on the holidays this year and not be doing everything at the last minute. I have a tendency to procrastinate

My Thanksgiving was ok. My mother was afraid to others sick soi she didn't go to my great-aunt's house, but I did. I saw some of the cousins. I did some black friday shopping. I got a new kindle, a new pillow, a diamond painting kit, a frame, and a wax warmer. I got a case for my new Kindle yesterday. Yesterday a neighbor finally came by to put up some boards on my back deck. Today he is putting in some dirt.

Being engaged, a beautiful time in a couple's life together! Jay had some things he wanted to finish, but it rained here, also. Thus, today is the day, for what he had planned:) Seeing your granddaughter from college, how nice!

The rain literally put a damper on putting out outside decorations up yesterday. My grandson was going to come over and help hang some lights but he got the day off.
My granddaughter comes over ere a lot when she's home so I'll miss her while she's back in school for the next few weeks.

So many plans for the future, what excitement.
Back to the ho hum of a regular day, I cannot believe that we are almost finished November. I was off from work last week so the end of the month really crept up quickly on me.

I'm trying to get a jump on Christmas shopping and meal planning so I'm not stuck at the last minute. I'm excited for the holidays and I'm sure you're extra excited this year having Willow and Harper to enjoy.

Sounds like a festive time in your house this weekend. I love having the Christmas tree up and just enjoying the lit tree without any other lights on. It's so peaceful
