Work freebies!

I hope the picture loads with this post. I reduced the resolution, so hopefully that does the trick. I'm at work and only have my phone, so I can't reduce the picture size on my computer like I usually do.
Today I snagged a quart of organic 2% milk, a pint of chocolate milk, a package of mild white kitchen, a package of chickpea tortillas, and a package of oatmeal raisin cookies.
The kids will be excited about the cookies, and I'm very excited about the kimchi! I've been looking for kimchi to show up in the culls fridge so I can try out the soup recipe that @TheSojourner shared with me.
I'm curious about the chickpea tortillas. I've had this brand before, but not this variety. They're still a bit more carby than I'd prefer, but reasonably so for a tortilla.
Between that and the rain and running late to work today, that's been my morning so far. How is today treating you?

Oh, very nice! Pretty would try all of those items. I'd be most interested in the kimchee... A friend made some and shared a taste of it with me a year or so ago. I liked it... I've been thinking about buying some to try but am cautious about buying it because I don't know what brand is "the best" and am not sure I trust other people with my taste buds. 
My day is okay. I had to reschedule my shot this morning. I couldn't see well enough to drive the car to go get it. Their next opening is next Thursday, so that's the best I can do there. (My eyes are still swollen and I'm having trouble seeing to type. Please forgive any typos. Thank you.) I also talked with the lawyer who represents me in the disability case I filed. He wasn't any help all. He didn't even know my case was denied last month. 
I'm still sleepy so will talk with you later. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

@spiderdust Kids don't melt... unless you put lots of chocolate and whipped cream on them first. 
Yes, this is the first time and he only gets paid if I win. And then he gets 20% of one year's payments to me.
Yeah, I can't deal with "hot", either.

@DaddyEvil They don't melt, but they do complain of being cold and drip water all over the house, then freak out and strip in the family room because they have wet clothes.
Or at least my youngest will.

I just got home from work a little bit ago, after picking up all the kids from school in the rain. Thank goodness for raincoats.
Disability lawyers are often a necessary evil, but expensive and frustrating. 
This is the first time your case has been denied, right?
I also don't know what brand is best, but I've seen this one around for a while. It's also possibly not an "authentic" brand, but I liked that it was listed as "mild" because that means it has less red pepper for me to deal with.

@spiderdust I am really curious to know. I usually like chickpeas and I use chickpeas flour to make Indian Pakoras.

This company makes tortilla chips out of cassava, and I like them a lot. I'll definitely report back on the tortillas.

Nice, free is wonderful! Been a pretty good day. Fulfilled my promise to get bento for my Resident Manager who checked my not working plug, making sure no fire hazard, on Thanksgiving day!!! Got some other goodies for him & family too. Ate shrimp tempura plate today, delicious! Tomorrow Safeway $5 Friday shopping and hopefully See's egg nog truffles and walnut squares if time permits.

@oahuwriter I guess technically I did, but my brain didn't register it as lunch because I ate it standing in the kitchen. When the food got pulled off of the hot bar at work after breakfast, we were allowed to help ourselves to what was left before it got tossed. I had a vegetable scramble with a chicken-apple sausage link... so I technically had enough food. but since I never sat down while eating it, I forgot I ate.

Freebies are almost always a good thing. All of the kimchi versions I have tried are just too hot for me as I cannot eat hot stuff. I have made my own version before without the hot, but then no one else likes it except me, LOL.
