Turning 40 this year

I am turning 40 this year.
Don't think I want to throw a huge party or any party for that matter.
I'd actually prefer to go away somewhere for my birthday.
Just hubby and I.
Last year for my birthday hubby took me to Atlantic City to Hard Rock Casino.
We gambled a bit on the slots and had a delicious steak dinner.
Stayed overnight.
Had a delicious breakfast.
Gambled some more and then drove home.
I wouldn't mind doing something like this again.
Maybe at a different casino this time around.

I just realized two things, we're about the same age. Because I turn 40 in July. And, that does sound like a good Birthday. I hope you can do something like that for your 40th.

I hope you will have a wonderful birthday. I remember passing my 30 and then it seemed all a downhill ride to 50 and then I just stopped even thinking about it.

This year my birthday is on a Saturday. Hubby works on Saturdays. Hopefully, he will be able to leave work earlier so we can go.

My birthday is Christmas Eve. It’s nice that it’s on a holiday even though I don’t celebrate it as I’m Jewish.

Me too. Or somewhere else is good too. However because hubby works on Saturdays—that’s when my birthday is this year—not sure what’s gonna happen.

I will be turning 50 next year and I don't want a big shindig either, but people seem to want me to. I'd rather just find a nice place to spend a nice evening or weekend with the wife personally. Hope you can figure it out and early happy birthday to you.
