A mosquito just landed on my laptop screen.
It's either the end of winter or the end of the world as we know it. I mean, I know we've been having some weird weather lately, but where did this thing come from? I don't think we've had a long enough string of warm weather for the eggs to hatch, etc. before emerging as an adult bloodsucker.

Maybe it flew in from Georgia...

More than a teaspoon...I have a wet basement, but it's cold, even in summer.

I have no idea, it could've just been warm enough.

Maybe it flew in from Florida... we did have winds from the south a couple days ago.

@BarBaraPrz There's hardly any wind, maybe we did send it your way.

Did you kill it? I haven't seen any this weekend with how warm it is but I have seen them during the winter here before.

I swatted at it but it didn't leave a smear on the screen, so I don't know where it went.

@BarBaraPrz No, because the one I killed arrived to suck my blood before I noticed it!

Warm enough weather for eggs to hatch? That's odd.

Sounds strange ! How come the mosquito survives the cold weather ?

How annoying! I've had those little gnats land on mine in warmer weather. One thing good about winter no creepy flies or other insects buzzing around the house.
