Sunsets: natural beauty at its best.

Yesterday I talked by phone to Coral (@TheSojourner) for over 2 hours.
So today, besides my therapy and a visit to Tania´s, I have been mostly napping.
But I do remember that Coral was awed about a sunset she had seen at Mazatlán. So I decided to share a sunset we saw in the mountains when I went with Dixie and Humberto to their house. Dixie calls her house there Andean Paradise. And it is a natural Paradise at its best.
Here is one of the pictures of the sunset. We went for a walk and there it was. The sun was on fire

This isn't a recent photo, but it's a view I have near my home from time to time. Sadly, I think this sunset was enhanced by smoke in the skies from wildfires.

@marguicha I'm not sure, but I'm guessing due to the time if year when I took the picture. Or maybe I just thought it was a gorgeous sunset and wanted to capture it.

Yes. Because at the same time I smelled the clean air and heard the buzzing of insects and the chirping of birds.

We live in a valley here and the houses and trees across the street block sunsets and sunrises from us. *shrug*

I have seen beautiful sunsets in other places. Where I live houses block the sunsets. But In Aruba I once spent all my camera´s memory one day as it was so beautiful.

I like sunrise, but usually sunsets are more beautiful. I don´t know why.

@LadyDuck I do that when I am near them. I cannot walk to see them where I live. Even to take a picture of a sunrise from my home, I´d have to go up to the second floor with my camera at sunrise. Not for me.

I was taking my cellphone just in case someone called for New Year´s greetings. But then the sun started setting and it was awesome. I had to start taking photos.

Thank you. We took it near the house that Humberto and Dixie have in the mountains, less than 2 hours away from Santiago.

I suppose I´d have sunrise photos too if I got up earlier. But even in summer, dawn is chilly here.
