Friday Morning Brief

Good morning from cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was still snowing lightly this morning when I got up the first time. I went back to bed this morning for a couple more hours of sleep after taking my medication.
My last post yesterday mentioned I was in pain. I called the ambulance last night. My back wouldn't stop seizing. They gave me a muscle relaxer and took X-rays. When the muscle relaxer started working, they discharged me. I had called my son to meet me at the hospital. He got me home. We stopped at the pharmacy on the way to pick up the presciption for a muscle relaxer.
I didn't get to bed until after 10:30 last night when I could finally move without intense pain.
I'm thankful for the nursing staff and PA that saw me last night. They referred me to a physical therapist, so I'll be getting that call soon to get it set up.
So no exercise group, but she said to walk. I can do that with my walker.
I'm sorry this isn't more joyous. I'm just happy the pain isn't bad right now.
Thanks for reading. I hope all of you are doing well. The image belongs to me of yesterday's snow.

I'm sorry you were in pain. I wish I could have done something to help you.
I hope the therapist does you some good and you're on your way to better health/less pain.

@just4him You're welcome. I totally understand.
I received the offer of the coupon for the prescription my eye doctor gave me. After reading the terms of accepting it, though, I declined. The company basically said to receive the coupon, I had to release all my medical data, past, present and future, to them and anyone they decided to give it to or they wouldn't give me the coupon.
I'm not a privacy nut, but that was asking way too much. Nobody but my doctors and Pretty need to know my medical history or the treatment options given to me.
Would you have agreed to their terms? (They told me the prescription cost was $1,281. For $500,000, I MIGHT agree to those terms but not for just over $1,000.)

I'm so sorry to hear about your back and that it resulted in a trip to the hospital. Hope it's nothing serious and that the muscle relaxer works. Back pain is no joke. Sending best wishes that you feel better soon
No snow jokes from me today

@just4him the snow jokes are all in good fun Glad you're home and hope those spasms don't happen again. A few weeks ago I pulled a muscle in my back when I was taking something out of the microwave and I'm finally feeling better now. I can understand how painful it can be.

Yes, there is. Yes, I am. A little bit every day.
