Introducing Lester

The photo is of Lester, the other cat at our house-sit. The two cats, Lester and Kink, are good friends and often seem to groom one another. They get wet food twice a day and have free access to kibble. However, from time to time, one doesn’t turn up for its meal. I don’know where they go when they disappear. Lester went missing for a whole day and I was really starting to worry about him but he was home next morning and pretty ravenous for his breakfast. We go home tomorrow so today we’re trying put things back where we found them, as in cooking utensils. I’ve used our sheets and towels to save our hostess having too much laundry when she gets home. I don’t think we’ve let any plants die so that’s one main concern. We won’t see the owners tomorrow as we’ll leave around 10am and they won’t get home till about 3pm.

Cats with outside access seem to find things to do and who knows where they wander off to... I hope we don't find out later there was a little plant hiding somewhere that got accidentally missed. Have a good trip home. Be careful...

@thislittlepennyearns Jim the cockatoo seemed an odd name to me. My sheep were Hercules, Oscar, Monty, Joel, Buster, Baasil. None of them were named by us.

I think we have the name right. I wasn't sure I heard it correctly. We've come across some quite odd pet names.

@JudyEv I have too. I like to think ours are pretty normal. Our dogs are Rebel and Dozer, the turtle is Bender and the fish are Bandit, Bob and Linda.

Yes, touch wood. It's all good. Just have to shut the chooks up tonnight. They don't go to bed till about 7pm, just as it's starting to get dark.

This is something I would like to know about my cat. Sometimes he does not eat his food. He is not skinny and he is in good health. I am sure there is someone in the area who gives food to the cats.

@JudyEv I am pretty sure of this. Some days he comes and asks for more food and there are days he refuses to eat. My neighbor told me that he found him eating with her cat sometimes. He gets inside their home through the kitty door.

@LadyDuck Some get quite cunning what with cat doors on so many doors nowadays. The cat at the last place only used the cat door if he couldn't make you get up to open the door for him.

Peppie disappears sometimes two days in a row and I know what he is up to. I can understand towels but did not know you carry your own sheets!!
