Well not quite… and not like the photo… but I’m hoping I might earn some eventually. Someone on here, I think it was @porwest, suggested using Microsoft Bing (www.bing.com) for searches instead of Google, and earning some points in the process. Well I do a lot of online searches every day. Every time some interesting point comes up in conversation that I need to know more about, I have to look it up. Every time someone on MyLot mentions that they are unsure of something, I have to look it up. Every time I encounter some weird technical term I haven’t heard of before in the course of my work, I have to look it up to ensure it is genuine and not a spelling mistake or mistranslation. Often I have to look up references as well to see what they really do prove. And I frequently have to look for contact details of suppliers. So altogether those add up to a lot. With Bing you earn 3 points for each search, up to a maximum of 90 points per day, so that’s 30 searches. In the course of a day that’s easily achieved so I get a few points for something I would have done anyway. And if by chance I get to the end of the day and haven’t reached the 90 points, and really can’t think of anything else I want to look up, I just type in a random selection of letters and see what comes up – that can be quite interesting in itself!! So thanks @porwest, I followed your suggestion and having set a £5 Marks and Spencer voucher (7,600 points) as my goal, I am now 57% of the way to some free underwear or something similar.
