It's a good day

And its Friday. Its a good day to sit in a comfy chair and listen to the trains blast their horns as they go through downtown. Downtown is about a mile away so I don't mind the train horns.
Its been gray skies all day. Rain and cold wind. Rufus and hubby had a short walk with our helper earlier today. Too awful out for a usual walk.
Both of us made it to the pool yesterday. I can really feel it today. Hubby admitted that pool time is exhausting. Due to the shallow water he can't actively swim but he can dog paddle and float and kick. Me? I stay by the stairs and the railing and kick and move my joints. Half an hour of making my joints move is more than plenty for me. If I am out of the water, my knees balk at most any task assigned. The water really makes a gigantic difference.
I'm slowly working into the back end of a story that I wrote a couple of years ago. The ending needs more. Its a good day to do most anything that doesn't involve being out in rain and wind blasts.

It is decent, but cloudy here. Good for both of you getting in that pool. I am cozying today due to being under the weather.

It is always nice to sit in a comfy chair as far as I am concerned. You can hear trains here at times, although it is most likely when the weather is warm and the windows are open. It happens at night when all is quiet.

Nice that you are enjoying the pool. I'd like to make it down to the YMCA and set in the pool. Sure would be nice.

That's great you got to the pool yesterday. I'm glad the doctor and therapists didn't take the pool off my exercise routine.
I'm sure your joints got a good workout in the water.
Wonderful! I'm so glad you're getting to the end of a story you started a couple of years ago. It's the perfect thing to do on a rainy windy day.

@just4him I can't participate in the water aerobics. I am fortunate and spoiled due to the gym having two pools. One pool is shallow and very warm and really for the kiddos. I go there. I hang out in the shallow kiddo pool and do my own version of physical therapy for thirty minutes. No keeping up with the instructor or competing with neighbors. Just me working or not working whatever body part I am in the mood to work.

@sallypup They tell me it's the best thing for me. I'm just sorry I can't take part in the exercise group anymore. Those exercises would do more hurt than help. However, I can still work out on the stationary bike.
