I am going back to bed

I am coming down with something. I had a weird morning yesterday, Friday, and thought perhaps I had a fever but I did not. I also thought I posted something yesterday, but I did not. For some strange reason I got out of bed around 3:15 or so yesterday. I was sure it was 4 something. Until I woke up a bit. I had been online doing my daily routine. I had coffee and peanut butter on raisin toast. I checked my temperature and it was normal. Then I noticed it was 4:15. I went back to bed. Set the alarm on my phone, but forgot to turn it on. Although today is Saturday, I got up a little after 5. I have eaten a bit and made hot coffee, but my throat is so sore I am not enjoying eating or drinking anything. We put some chemical through our drains last evening hoping to clear it out as it is cheaper than a plumber. It is better, but not where I want it to be. May have to repeat the treatment. Going back to bed sounds really good to me. I do not often do that. I guess it will be my guilty indulgence for today.

It sounds like bed is the best place for you at the moment. Hope you feel better soon. Sore throats are the pits.

I may actually have a sinus infection, but I have been trying to rest my way out of it.

I hope that the drains and your illness are both better when you get up next time.

The drain clean out is just keeping us at status quo. I am trying to make it another month because the last plumbing bill was almost $450.

I am sorry you are not well. I use the powdered chemical that need to pour hot water on it to clear the drain, it is stronger than the liquid.

This was a powder--one pound of it. All to be dumped in the toilet and flushed twice to push it into the main line.

@GardenGerty I thought it was for your sink. We are not allowed to use those products into the toilet.

Well it took all week but the ailments all caught up with me, including a stomach bug, plus some sinus stuff. I even took two days off work.

I hope you feel much better soon. The best thing is to relax and take it easy and see how you feel tomorrow, Best of luck to you with your drains,

The drains are still slow. My preferred plumber is out of town until March. If I have to I will call the other one.

I was woken up by the cats early this morning too, 3ish... They are often like that, too inconsiderate of my sleep! (I am thinking of locking my door in the future at nights, to make sure they can't wake me up anymore.)

I did some canned chicken soup. Now I have some homemade. I am in that stage where I am neither sick nor well.

Put some bleach down your drains and than a hour later put hot water down the drains. That works for me.

I think that is a good idea. It is the main sewer line, though, so it may not be really effective.

Rest is good at the onset of feeling bad. I rested yesterday after I got done work at the church because I felt worn out. I feel a bit better today.
