Well, here I am, single again. Life sucks and then you die. The damaged guy with the PTSD decided his reaction to getting close to a woman was not fixable, and he broke up with me. So much for optimism. I am sad, for him too. Guess I'll be licking my wounds for a while. Such irony, finding someone who may have been as close as perfect for me as anybody I'll ever find, and he was too broken to be in a relationship. Sigh. Ah well, I have my jobs, my kids, my friends, my causes, my hobbies, etc. I will live. Life goes on. But I really hate those women who did this to him. Grrrrr.

I'm sorry that happened but am glad it happened sooner rather than later for you. I'm sure there's someone out there who will be perfect for you. I hope you don't give up.

You have your kids and yourself to live for. Such broken and frustrated men can seldom be supportive.

That is sad for all involved. Think how he is missing out on life, and hurting others at the same time.

I agree with DE. I tend to dislike the woman who did the same to the real love of my life. I went on to try four times to find a good man and never did.

It is not how much you have but what you make of what you have is the route to happiness and in your case you have lots. My best wishes are with you. Tell me about your garden

Blaise Pascal once said "Most unhappiness comes from not being able to sit quietly in a room." My radio is playing for you: I say a little prayer for you...

Oh Dawny . . . I'm so sorry. I know you were willing to be patient and work things out with him, but the rest was on him. Better to know sooner than way later I guess. Yah, life goes on. Big hugs to you !!

PTSD is not an easy road to travel down. Life goes on for sure.

I wouldn't give up if that is what you want. The right one may still come along. If it wasn't going to work, it's better that you know now instead of down the road. Sometimes, someone comes along that you aren't expecting, you never can tell. I wish you the best.
