My Secretary

Can you imagine how someone would react if her cat answered the phone for her?

@BearArtistLady A lot of people are affected by the overdose of pollen in the Spring. I'm not surprised you have a kitty that is affected in the same way.

Sometimes, he does. He specializes in sitting on top of the laptop and defending his position with every ounce of his strength.

@BearArtistLady Our cats will do anything for catnip. Then they act like drunken fools.

@akalinus I only have one, but the ginger kitty of my neighbors visits us every day.

@LadyDuck Ginger kitties are so pretty. I did not have a cat for years but I took care of cats and dogs in our park when their owners were away. They got lots of petting because I would watch the people's cable TV. Some people asked me to keep their animals company every day.

It is so much fun to have a cat around the house. We have three and there is never a dull moment.

@sallypup That is how cats think. If they can hide some goodies, they will.

@akalinus Peter kitten has started tidying the kitchen this morning. He thinks a bag that had two English muffins in it belongs in the living room.

Oh, that is a shame. Do you have fond memories of them?

@akalinus I have dozens of pictures and many, many fond memories of them. They were all so special in their own way.

He is one of a kind. There is no other animal like him. You can gaze into his eyes and see that he just knows things. He tries to tell me things but I only understand elementary cat and his wise thoughts are beyond my understanding.

@allknowing He probably lets you live there so you can feed and take care of him. He is the king and you are staff. Meow!

He looks nice and comfy. I can see that he owns the house, too.

Aw, maybe someday you can. I did not have a cat for years. Dreams come true sometimes.

They are all adorable. The worst thing is the dreaded cat box but they are worth the inconvenience of that.

@TheHorse That could be. Some secretary he is! He is supposed to keep track of things so I can find them when I need them.

It is so great to see you here again. I missed you. If you teach the new kitty to make coffee and tea, why not teach him to cook and wash dishes? If the cats run the house, they might as well work in it too.

@akalinus Right now I have a problem with Petey jumping on the top of my tackle boxes (they're the four drawer kind with the lid and a door that closes so you don't lose your tackle...they're darned expensive and Petey used to sleep in the top portion. I'll check and see if I still have a picture of him in it). He successfully clears the top of the boxes and sits on top of them and smirks at me. Anything that is on top of the box goes flying and I have to search for it, the big one today was my cell phone. I spent an hour searching for it and he had managed to send it flying from the box onto my chair and then bury it in the cushions. Sigh, such is life with a bossy feline! I just got a look at the picture and it's one of the good ones. He somehow fell out of the top part and fell rather ungracefully onto the floor.

I'm sure that you love your secretary as much as your sister does.

@popciclecold Thank you. I like the name too. It is a little different but not too outrageous.

This one is named Figgy. When my friend got him, they said his name was Figaro. Figgy is much easier to say.

Grammarly keeps telling me I made a mistake. You would think that a secretary would be more discrete than that The nerve of them. I keep messing up on spacing and I can't type right anymore.

@akalinus Grammarly has me second-guessing my spelling. I was an ace speller in school. Grammarly doesn't think so. I am happy though with the help it gives me with my grammar and punctuation.

Life must be interesting at your house. There is a cat helping you wherever you are.
