Mine is delicious buko pie. (Buko means young coconut in English.)
Buko pie is a Filipino-style coconut pie made with fresh, tender young coconut meat mixed into a creamy, custard-like filling and baked in a flaky pie crust.
Yesterday, a friend went to a city that is famous for its buko pie and asked if I wanted her to buy some for me.
I happily said yes and asked her to get three large boxes. (Of course, I'll pay her back!)
One box is for me, one for my mom, and one for my mother-in-law. We should never forget our in-laws, right?
The contraband - er, I mean the buko pies - will arrive later today, and we're meeting up at a mall near my place.
I can't wait to taste them!
Photo is perfect for what I’m feeling, thinking right now.

@sol_cee Oh, that's funny...
I used to make them two at a time. That's the way my recipe is set up. But we don't need that much sugar at one time, so I stopped baking them and we just buy one once in a while. They're soo good!

@DaddyEvil two at a time? How long does it last? Here in my house, pies don’t last a day

My brother used to bring home buko pie when they travel back from another province.. Their buko pie is good, it has lots of young coconut that are scraped? lol I don't know how to call it but it's like scooping the young coconut meat with spoon so they are really big.
But my favorite is blueberry cheesecake pie. I haven't had one for more than a decade... Hihi

Coconut pie sounds fantastic! There is a type of pie made here in the Southeastern US called "chess pie" that has coconut, but the filling is more firm than custard. It is so good! I like most kinds of pie and can't pick only one. Pecan pie was my dad's favorite, and I like that one a lot.

@sol_cee Very few shops would sell peach pie. The easiest to get would be the peach mango pie in Jollibee.
