Today seems to be a big day as it is the Valentine's Day OK, everything seems to be much more expensive today, such as flowers, dinner, presents etc. If so, how about a bouquet of broccolis? I guess today its price is still normal and it is also practical and even an extraordinary present for the Valentine's Day?

Well, I hate broccoli and I would not appreciate. Consider that broccoli is part of the cabbage family and to tell someone that he/she is worth nothing in Italy we say "Non vali un cavolo" (You worth like a cabbage).

OK, perhaps an expensive present will be a safer choice

@youless NO, expensive is not what is the best gift, you must know the person. I like to receive a box of dark chocolates, not flowers and NOT jewels.

I'm curious what other vegetables you don't like.

I love broccoli, so I think that would be a good gift for me but most women wouldn't want that instead of flowers, candy and maybe a ring on Valentine's Day.

I don't think it is a good present lol. We usually play jokes of cauliflower and broccoli like saying are you putting cauliflower in our ears when others lie

Yes,i agree the present is more practical, but very little girls would like this present, because it's not romantic.I watched a video that a boy give a girl a chicken and broccolis as birthday gift, lol, and the funny thing in video happened in Guangzhou city.naturally, the girl refused the gift.

Not much of a broccolis fan and any way what can anyone do with so many? That would be the saddest day for Bill Clinton as he hates broccoli (lol)

We don't 'do' Valentine's Day. I'd be perfectly happy with this. It's annoying how prices go up at times like Valentine's, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc.

I agree with you. Sometimes I think it is not very wise to spend much more money for it. Celebrate it earlier or later can save a lot

That made me smile. I prefer that over roses to be honest. Would be more practical and delicious. I will have plenty of roses in my spring garden.

For us, it's not practical to have a bouquet of broccoli. Broccoli is too expensive here.
