I'm learning

Hubby and I are typical. We set up a pattern for eating through our years togetherr. Then last Autumn he began to be ill. And on we go. He no longer could handle what used to be favorites. No more pepperoni. No more hamburgers. Can't do it. I tend to include vegies in our meals due to the nutritional uptick. Especially spinach thawed from the freezer. Easy peasy and solid food. No can do now. Upsets hubby's stomach. Tonight I figured out a simple but good enough supper. Hubby said he could eat it without an issue so I went with it: a little hot olive oil, mixed an egg, one at a time, into the oil, scrambling it into cooked solids. I dumped leftover brown rice that had some Veg-All vegies in it. Hubby can handle that. Home made fried rice. Hubby suggested I sprinkle in some nutritional yeast. Great idea.

@sallypup That nutritional yeast adds more nutrients too, and is awfully tasty to boot.

@spiderdust Yes!!!! Vitamin B 12 at least. I use it to tempt my elderly cats to eat.

How sad that he can't eat spinach. I hope he did eat a lot of what you made though.

I'm sure it's pretty tricky trying to cater for his stomach issues yet still provide the nutrition he needs.

And this is what I call love. It is sweet how you take care of him and find adjustments to your diet to accommodate his health.

I'm glad you found something he can eat. I am so, so concerned about him. When is the next procedure? What are the doctors doing about his illness? Try and have a good weekend.
