Do You Like to Write?

I would guess that most people on myLot do like to write, but I wonder if this is the only place you write? I mentioned in a recent post that I write and submit poetry for publication. Sometimes it works.
Well-known British poet wrote that, "There is no money in poetry, but there's no poetry in money, either."
I ran across a list of writing contests that I thought I'd share with myLotters, so here are fifty plus writing (not just poetry) free contests and some have cash prizes.

I enjoy writing poetry, My poetry is accepted every once in awhile. I have lists of poetry magazines. I enjoy sending poetry in whether it's accepted or not. Sometimes one magazine refuses a poem and another one accepts it. You never know.

I agree that contests motivate and there are so many. Some are fake though, so a list like this one is good. Submittable.com is a great source too.

Thanks for sharing this link, I am sure many people will find it useful. I do not really think my writing will be good enough to enter any contests. However, when I was about six years old I did win a poetry competition that was being held by my local library. The prize was an Easter egg.
