Just now, I heard Kitty meowing at my front door. I guess she had gone out and taken care of her morning kitty business. From my desk, I asserted myself in no uncertain terms: "Kitty! You know how to come in through the sliding class door! I even opened it an additional inch last night, to make it easier for you!" Then I let her in. She went to her food dish (which is half full, not half empty), arched her back, and meowed again. I gave her a dismissive look and continued typing. I had won again! She came over to my desk and arched her back, requesting a back scratch. I limited said scratch to 30 seconds. Perhaps 45. Sixty at most. Are you master of your own domain?

Um, not necessarily. But let's not go there. Kitty meowed "fine" and fell asleep on the couch. As a married man, how do you interpret the word "fine"?

Well, to some degree yes but often I have to bow to the needs of my kritters .... Tuffy the kitty knows I won't put food in his bowl until he's eaten ALL his food and Roscoe knows I will walk him but not every time he wants to walk me.

I know how to send out my cat without insisting now. I take a wet washcloth and start cleaning him.

Kitty is a very beautiful cat. My cats know that I am constantly at my PC doing something and they come to me when they want some petting and love. I feed them and see their litter is clean and give them plenty of water and we have all become used to one another,
