Something nice happened to me today

It was almost nice enough to make up for the crappy thing that happened to me today...
. I was shopping at TJ's in the city, and I am not sure if she heard me say this, or just was being nice..The cashier was asking me how my day was, and at first I said good, but then I remembered the crappy thing happening to me, and I said" well so, so". She said something like, did you see our flowers, and I said, "Well, I bought a succulent," and then one of her co wokers brought me over a bunch of flowers...wasn't that nice?

Yeah, it was sweet. When my sister's cat passed away...Chewy sent her a bouquet of flowers...how nice was that??

TJ's is a great store and when my wife was being treated for cancer, I would have some flowers in my basket and more than one cashier made them a gift, no charge.

Yeah, it seems there just is not enough good in the world we live in today, and something simple like that can lift your spirits...and maybe make you feel that it is not so bad!

No, you certainly don't expect that from a business...My mom told me that one time she was sitting on a bench in a mall...and someone gave her flowers out of the blue. She didn't say how long ago it was..

@snowy22315 - That was really nice. I received flowers when I went out shopping in Monte Carlo when I was a lot younger, French men can be really sweet.

Oh, I did a mystery shop and may have written down another name in the report than the one I actually used onsite. Most shops wouldn't care that much, but this one was pretty specific, about not using an alias. It wasn't an alias, simply a married name as opposed to my legal name. It kind of called the report into question...which was a pain in the butt. Hopefully, it is ironed out now.
