I have such a bad memory and I struggle really bad here to remember peoples families. I usually can recall who is married but not much about their children or grandchildren. It’s important for me to remember things about people here so I write things down in a “myLot members” document on Google Docs. I’ll start with my family and maybe you can share with me about yours. You don’t have to share their names if you don’t want I don’t like to share that information myself. My first husband and I had two children a girl who is 18 and a son who is 15. That husband died in 2011. Two years ago I married my second husband who has a son that is 16. Together my husband and I have a baby girl who is 1 1/2. That completes our family. Photo is completely unrelated to the post and is just a pretty view I saw while on a drive yesterday during babies nap time.

Sure, I'll tell you but I think you've already got my family in your documents... Pretty is my youngest at 35... I have a son, RickyEvil , who is 43 and I don't see him or his four kids... I've met his oldest son when he was born. His oldest son has a son (27) who has a daughter who is 9, I think... I'd have to ask Pretty to make sure, though. And you know about my son who passed away when he was almost 3 years old. That's my family... except it isn't all of them... I also have all the people I care about on myLot. They're part of my family, too. I'm sure you already know all of their names.

I knew about Rickyevil and the story behind that but I have no recollection of your one son dying at 3. That makes my heart hurt hearing that and realizing I must not remember something so important. So you are a grandpa then but don’t get to see them .

@shaggin No, I'm a great great grandpa. My son had a son and a grandson and a great granddaughter. I'm sorry you don't remember. We had a discussion about a year or year and a half ago about my younger son passing. You said at the time that you were putting that into your notes. But, you weren't feeling well and you were busy with your daughter not feeling well at the time, too. It's easy to see how you forgot to add that to the notes. Too many things on your mind makes you slightly forgetful.

@shaggin It's okay... for you I will repeat things when you need me to. It's okay... I was surprised the first time you mentioned making notes about different myLotters... and was pleased I was one you bothered making notes about. No, my second son belonged to a girlfriend that decided she wasn't ready for marriage when I proposed. She moved to California and that's where the accident happened... about the time Pretty was born.

@CarolDm thank you. I usually share my photos on Facebook but thought I’d share this one here instead., I remember your son Dustin. I always love hearing memories of him! I think it helps me because your profile photo is you and him. I remember images better which is why when people change their avatar or profile photo here I get confused who they are for a very long time.

@CarolDM no amount of photos is ever enough after they die I think . All those years he should have had left for you to add more to your collection has to be so painful.

Hubby and I have 2 kids . . . our daughter is 18 and our son is 13. I don't post a whole lot about family, so it's possible not a lot of people "know". I love nature views like that!

@much2say thank you for the information on your family . I have added it to my notes. I drive past this and came to a gate across the road so when I back up and turned around I took a photo of it before I went back home.

LOL--I can barely remember about people I meet face to face--never mind on line. Both my parents have passed. I'm not married and have one brother. No kids myself but my bro has three boys.

@xstitcher I can remember people in person better i think because I can remember faces. Here usually people don’t share photos of their kids or spouses etc so it’s hard to remember the correct information about them without a face to go with it. Thank you for the info on your family I will write it down

@LadyDuck I knew you were married and that you had no children but have a brother and a niece. I didn’t know she has children though too. That’s so amazing to me you have been married for so many years. That is very heartwarming.

I have a horrible memory, too. I have a sneaking suspicion that my husband remembers every teeny detail of my daughter's early years. I wish I did. Anyway, I have one daughter. She is in her mid 40s and doing well. And then there's my fur kids.....

@sallypup I’m sorry your memory is bad too. So nice that your husband can remember all those memories. My daughter tells me things sometimes and I swear she’s making it up. I truly don’t know if it’s a real memory of hers that I forgot or that she dreamt .

I am not currently married and have a grown son, who has been living in Brazil the past several years which is hard. At least we can still talk. He is going to be there more or less permanently but will come back for longish visits although it hasn't happened yet. I plan to go down there...but maybe not until next year. My ex is kinda like my fam, my real fam is in PA.

@snowy22315 wow well that’s really great for him. I don’t know if would be brave enough to move so far away like that. I’m glad it’s working out for him but sad that you don’t get to see him. I hope you are able to go visit him that would be an amazing vacation I think!

@shaggin No, it's my second husband. My son's father is here in Virginia too though. He just announced one day he was going to go there, went and liked it. It so much cheaper. He has a group of friends there now. He is fixing computers for a job. He and his friend have a little business all in the other guy's name though. It is mostly word of mouth.

You have a nice family with such a great variety of ages and stages. My hubby and I have a son, who is 33 right now. We also had a daughter, Brittany, who would be 32. She passed away during her first month of life due to congenital heart disease. I think of her every single day. We were blessed in August 2017 when our son married Klaudia, our sweet daughter-in-law. They gave us the twins, Willow and Harper in January 2022. Harper's middle name is Brittany, after her Auntie. Our son is keeping his sister's spirit alive, which does my heart good. I wasn't aware that you had difficult remembering, so if you ask me something I will be happy to answer, please do not be shy.

@shaggin my oldest daughter lives about 5 min away so I see her and her family often as well as my son and his family who visit fairly often even though they live an hour away. My middle daughter hardly ever calls or visits so she's barely ever mentioned in my posts

I live with my partner and we have two girls, known on here as Big One (almost 17) and Little One (coming up to 11). That's it really. I don't have any siblings though I have a few cousins around the place. My partner has one sister and she has three children older than ours and now they all have partners and one (the youngest) also has a baby so his family gatherings are getting crowded!

@shaggin I have mixed feelings, family gatherings can be an occasion for people to be extremely nosey and interfering! But yes I do enjoy the get-togethers and I like the 'added' people so it's all good.
