I Was Very Sick for A While

In March, I ended up in the ER of the Tawas Hospital. I was very sick, coughing and having a hard time breathing.
I mentioned COVID and they said, 'No, we don't test for COVID any more.' I was shocked to hear this, but took it for granted the doctor knew what he was talking about.
The nurse gave me a steroid shot, which actually did me a lot of good. I slept good that night and it seemed to be the turning point, where I started feeling a little better each day.
The doctor on call said I had a viral lung infection, even though he didn't run any tests at all. I guess they sometimes diagnose patients strictly by their symptoms.
I still have a light cough at times, it has been over a month now. I'm feeling a lot better, which is what matter most of all. I'm not contagious or giving it to anyone else.

You had Covid but they don't want to report that people are still having Covid! That's what a viral lung infection is! It's also possible you had the flu. It's also a viral lung infection.7 people like this

@kobesbuddy I guarantee he's following orders from his boss... Our government doesn't want us to think about Covid anymore as a "deadly" disease, so doctors are told Covid isn't happening anymore and that's what they're supposed to tell their patients.
I lost a niece and a nephew a couple of weeks ago to Covid... But it's not dangerous anymore... Riiiight.

@DaddyEvil I know personally of three deaths from COVID. One was a 28 year old young man, who worked with my grandson at Delta airlines. The other man was my son-in-law's boss, a police officer. The third victim was a 48yr old man, with a wife and three children.

When I finally had an appointment with my own doctor, she said they diagnosed 14 patients with COVID in one day! The ER doctor said COVID isn't a big deal any more. I think he's crazy!

Very strange that they did not test for Covid! Glad you are better. If Covid is no big deal, why is a new booster about to be available for 65+ and those with poor immune systems. (Today's news)

I’ve wondered where you were but thought you were taking a break from mylot like most of us do occasionally. I’m so sorry you were sick but glad you’re better and still improving. Take care of yourself and I hope you’re completely well soon. We’ve missed you.

People have been worried about you. I am sick right now. Doctor did not check for covid he says CDC is not giving any guidelines. He swabbed me for strep--that came back positive. If it had not he would have been a full respiratory panel. I think they are just stumbling around in the dark.When I had covid they gave me a steroid prescription. It made me feel better all over.

The steroid shot worked great for me. I started feeling better, almost immediately. I'm still coughing a little bit, but nothing like before.

Hopefully, your recovery will continue and you would be back to your normal and healthy routine. I heard they gave steroid shots too for covid 19 patients. However, I am intrigued that the doctor did not perform any diagnostic tests on you. Are they avoiding the covid scare? or are they truly sure of your diagnosis? If that's the case, the doctor must have had extensive training in diagnosing patients correctly.

Sure have missed you! So sorry you’ve been sick. 
They’ve taken all the covid signs down at the VA hospital here. I had a test before my dental appointment Monday, and the nurse said she thinks they’ll be discontinuing it soon. I do have one scheduled before my pulmonary function test in June, but we’ll see.

At my last doctor's appointment, Tawn(a PA) said she diagnosed 14 cases of COVID in one day! Apparently, it's another swing in this destructive viruses pattern path! I didn't fear it, until my health was attacked full force. I know of two deaths, one was a 48 year old family man. Gregg only had one lung, after facing cancer as a child.

The doctor didn't help me in any way. But, the nurse did an excellent job! The steroid shot she administered gave God sent relief, it started working right away:)

@kobesbuddy Yes, building a house is exciting. Just make sure you pick a responsible gets it done on time type builder. You don't want them running into snags every other week!

Thanks! We moved into a rental house, I don't like it here. But, in June we will be building another home, something to look forward to.

I am so glad you are so much better. Too bad you had to suffer through such an infection but I have to say the latest post you have put in I have to double-take photos of you, You look fantastic and almost like a very young woman, I sure hope you get well soon,

Both those photos were taken a couple years ago. I just got a new computer and only had seven photos that were transferred to the newer model. All the older photos are still inside my latest computer.
