Do you ever email yourself?

I just sent myself two emails. One logged the hours I worked at my friend's Day Care this morning. The other reminded me to call a friend who called me today while I was at Guitar Center. I also email myself reminders like "Get Indian food at Trader Joe's today." Kitty was at my feet listening to jazz music with me just now. But out of the blue she tried to jump up and take over my desk. She failed, as her claws did not catch on the edge my desk. Now she's embarrassed and sitting three feet from me, flicking her tail. Should I put her up on my desk or just let it go? I am going to bed.

I have emailed myself, but it is often just as easy to text myself so I have done that too. Kitty should always be picked up when at first she's not successful at her ascension.

To quote the great Rolling Stones, I have Kitty "under my thumb." She came up and slept with me later in the night.

How do you give yourself reminders? I send photos from my cell phone to my desktop for editing via email as well.

Yes, indeed I do email myself occasionally. If I have a picture I took with my cell phone I will email it to my email address so I can put it in my computer's picture file.

I email myself things all the time. Kitty does not need to be on your desk. My cats are not allowed on my desk.

Kitty thinks my desk has mystical powers, since I'm there so often when I am home. I let her up there about once a month.

I have never emailed myself before. I have never found that important for me. I don't use the email most of the time. I can still use reminders on very crucial activities that needs to be done without fail.

Do you write reminders down on paper? I do that, but then I lose the slips of paper.

@TheHorse I do them on my phone. You can look for a nice app that can help you on that

Just let it go, she will try again when you are not looking. Perhaps she is telling you it is time for bed. Yes, I email myself things I want to remember.

Yes, I have 6 emails and use them to store important information, the one I use most frequently gets a lot of spam whereas the other 5 aren't really overwhelmed with any.

All I do is check that nothing of importance is in the spam folder than delete whats there.

It's amusing when I check my SPAM filter. I don't do it very often.

I take a piece of paper and I write down what I need to do. This is the only way not to forget.

@TheHorse If there is something very important I must remember, I write on a sticky note and place on the top of my computer monitor. I cannot miss it there

I do the same and then lose the piece of paper. So far, my computer has never been stolen.

I used to email myself quite a bit just as you do, but these days I mostly use my Notes app on my phone to leave myself reminders. Nowadays if I email myself it’s usually forwarding a link that I want to check out later, or else a work email that I want to read into further at home.

@TheHorse I do the same! Not that often, but occasionally. Or if my kids send me pictures that I want to edit and save.

Poor Kitty. I'm sure animals feel embarrasment. Oscar failed to make it onto the roll of hay at one attempt. We didn't see him for a moment but then he came out from behind the roll and bunted poor old Hercules.

Freud would call that "displacement"! When Kitty is embarrassed, she starts cleaning herself, as if to say, "I don't care. I'm in my own happy world."

@TheHorse Have you read 'Jenny' by Paul Gallico? I think it's in that book that a mother cat giving advice to her kitten says 'when in doubt, clean'. lol

Kitty just had her lessons. So better not to do anything else. At times, I email from one of my IDs to another of my IDs in case I have some special information or screenshots, Study links etc. Sometimes even trivia information as well.

When I was working I used to send emails home to remind me of something. I don't do that anymore. Kitty can stay on the floor. I used to have a puppy at the office who would walk on my desk. I wouldn't advise it.
