Flowers for mother's day. What's for supper. And had to turn on the heat again.

My husband surprised me with a bouquet of red roses and purple tulips for mother's day and my daughter gave me a hydrangea plant. I plan on putting the latter into the ground this summer.
Since I'm home all week I have to figure out what to cook for supper. We have leftovers to eat so I took a break and we had biscuits and gravy. We used to enjoy the Bob Evans brand but they changed the recipe and it's no longer sold in stores at least not in my area. So we get a brand sold in a can and that's not too bad.
What did you make for supper?
Last week we had the window fan running most of the night as it was in the eighties during the day and still warm at night. I'm fine without the fan but my husband isn't so I stay covered up.
Last night it was supposed to go down to 38f. I turned the furnace back on but left it at sixty. But it was chilly inside today so we turned it up a few more degrees. Tomorrow it's supposed to be warm again and wed not so much. We've had a weird spring.

I got some pics taken of clothes I'm going to try to sell in the fall and I wrote down the manufacturer and sizes so I won't have to figure that out later. I have some short sets that I got that were my mom's that I've never worn that I hope to sell soon.
In the past I've always taken my clothing to salvation army. I might find I'm too busy to sell it at present, but maybe it'll all work out.

Happy belated Mother's Day!
I hope you have better luck with your hydrangea bush than I had with mine. The soil here just wouldn't support it, even with the amendments I made to it.
I had a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch around 4 pm and am planning on making spaghetti with meat sauce for late supper tonight. (Pretty asked me to make it again, even though I just made spaghetti a few days ago.) We both like spaghetti so I don't mind at all.
I normally have a stand fan pointed at my bed and running... I like it cooler in the house than Pretty wants it.
We've been getting thunderstorms every day this last week and they drop the temp outside for the rest of the day. We get to the mid to low 80s during the daytime and then the storms in the afternoon drop us to the high 60s for the evening/overnight. (It's 67F and storming right now.)

@MarshaMusselman I added pine needles but it didn't help. Good luck!

Maybe I need to check the ph of my soil before planting it. I've heard it does well with pine needles nearby but there aren't any pine trees near me.

Oh, I just love the pictures of the flowers. The purple are my favorite. For dinner, I’m making salmon.
I’m going to try to include a picture of the flowers me and my sister bought for my dad’s wife for Mother’s Day. She really liked them.

@MarshaMusselman There were so many variations. I tried to think what she would like over what I would like. Because I saw a bouquet with violet and orange flowers that I loved, but the ones in the picture seemed grander, and more in line in what my sister would want me to pick for my dad’s wife. And by her reaction, I think I chose right.
But I just love the variety of yours.

Those are pretty too. I like seeing the mixtures they come up with.

Those are lovely flower. We also had a drop in the temperature and the furnace auto turned on during the night.
We had no mothers to celebrate, but it was my hubby birthday, he asked for a Mexican menu, guacamole, quesadillas, stuffed jalapenos and a Margarita for drink.

I've always enjoyed grilled cheese and tomato soup. I bought cauliflower soup to try maybe I'll make a grilled cheese when I have that.

I'm sure we all have something we could part with. I've decided to try a consignment shop rather than the Facebook marketplace for our town.

I gave my mother some cat bedroom shoes for Mother's Day. Hers were holey.

I had gone several days without running either the AC or the heat. When I woke up today it was just freezing in here as it got down in the 40's. I had to kick the heat on for awhile to warm up. I was bundled in sweaters and freezing!

That's what it's like here sometimes especially recently. I hate to turn on the heat when it's supposed to get hot later in the week but sometimes it just can't be helped.

Today, the pollen count was so terrible I couldn't hardly cope with the allergies, even with meds. I had to turn on the AC for a bit again, to filter my air.

The flowers are pretty.
I turned my furnace on yesterday and this morning. It's off now with the temps in the 70s and a nice breeze coming in the door.
Supper was the monthly potluck. Mostly salads, fruit, and a couple of desserts.
