Got Goodies

I bought 2 boxes of cream filled chocolate cupcakes and one box of swiss rolls today. That's all I got. I was outbid on the blueish flowers that were there. I told hubby that if I don't get any Friday I want to go up to the greenhouse. It's just up the road from the auction. One Amish man did say he has more to bring in.
When we got home I fixed dinner. Just went with hamburger helper. Then I filled up the dogs water trough. While that was filling I also got some of my decorative shepherds hooks up. Filled the bird feeder. Finally picked up the old torn up swimming pool. Then got my plants watered. I am seeing blooms starting on my tomato plants.
Now I am just trying to stay awake for about another hour. Then I will put the dogs to bed and I will go. Hope you had a good day.

I tried to be inside most of the day as the smoke has been pretty hard to deal with. Hazy and strange! I did some laundry, mended 2 pair of my son's sweatpants--they are old and he prefers the old ones to wearing the new ones he got. Go figure, men...I cleaned out a cabinet in the garage, one of many I need to do and I hate being in the garage, anyway. I hope to get another cabinet done tomorrow.

Have you tried the pouches of Knorr Sides? I cook whatever type of meat (usually 1 lbs of ground beef and ground pork mixed together) I've thawed for our meal and then make two pouches of the Knorr Sides on top of the meat, following the package directions. It makes enough for several people and is delicious.

@DaddyEvil I've had the Knorr sides, but I've never combined them with the meat. It's been so long since I've purchased them, I forgot about about them. Thanks for the reminder though; I've been in a dinner rut.

@AmbiePam You're welcome. I've really gotten tired of cooking all the time since the pandemic began but I don't trust restaurants. In my part of the US, the managers make people work while they're sick... I'm in the high risk group for Covid and other sicknesses... I can't take a chance.
During the Summer, we eat a lot of sandwiches but I still like good pasta once in a while.

I'm glad you had a good day.
We're already down to 68F outside after our 88F daytime high... We're supposed to be down to 57F by morning... We have totally overcast skies but only a 10% chance of rain tonight.
I watered my potted plants outside and checked the grass. We need to mow again. NOT looking forward to that with the air so bad outside.

@wolfgirl569 It was 58F this morning when I went out to water the potted plants outside. At 11 am, it's already back up to 80F outside but still 75F in my bedroom.
It didn't rain during the night but the grass is still wet with dew so I'll need to wait until this afternoon to start mowing. At least the air quality is back to "Fair" with a particulate count in the 30s... so I should be able to manage that as long as I get a shower as soon as I come back inside.
Our grass is over my ankles again already.

I know we got in the low 50s overnight. Only going around 73 today.
We might mow. But it's been so dry that it has not grown a lot
