Our housekeeper (my husband's cousin) came over yesterday. We wanted her to weed (the weeds are already taking over the flower bed); but it was too wet. Hubs is still on his second round of steroids. The surgery pain I think is gone...what he is getting is actual pain from his back which the surgery was supposed to help. I've never had much faith in back surgeries. What's new with you on your end of the planet? Breakfast - Belvita oat biscuits Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Hamburger, potato wedges, baked beans, pears Dessert/Snack - Triple chocolate muffin and decaf coffee Dinner - Belvita oat biscuits What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Mine - The end of Route 1 is in Key West; and the number is MM 0 (Mile Marker). Most addresses in the Keys are Mile Markers. Makes it easy to find an address. For example, a restaurant might be at MM 87. They Keys run from MM 0 - MM 113.

We had a lot of rain, I cannot even go out to check my plants. It's not too hot.

I had a nice Tyson breaded chicken fillet and some tater tots. I hope his back pain subsides and won't be a problem,

Your dinner sounds dee-lish. Thanks. I don't think back surgeries have a good track record.

I wonder if back surgeries are the least successful long term of any major (not disease related) type of surgery performed.

I think so. I've heard of a lot of people not getting any relief.

It will be a great shame if the surgery hasn't helped.

I'm sorry to hear that. The surgery should reduce his pain? Breakfast - none Lunch - oatmeal and 2 boiled eggs Dinner - rice and pork strips cooked in coconut milk

I've had upper back surgery in 1996 and so far it's held up really good.

It's unfortunate that the wet weather prevented your housekeeper from weeding the flower bed. I'm sorry to hear that your husband is still experiencing back pain despite the surgery. Back surgeries can be unpredictable, and it can be challenging to have full faith in them.

My brother had back surgery for a herniated disc. Initially after his recovery he felt better, but there were so many restrictions that he has to adhere to for the rest of his life. Yesterday I had some left over Chinese for lunch and we had a piece of round steak that I did in the instant pot and it came out so tender it was like pulled beef. We had homemade fries and cauliflower with it.

I know a lot of people who have had back surgery and all of them still have back pain. I hoped your hubby would be different. I could hear it storming over the last few days but only stepped outside yesterday afternoon when my eyes finally started opening back up. It was chilly then. And our grass is getting tall again. I only know what I ate last night when I fixed the meal. It was chicken and pasta and was delicious.
