What in the world happened to June? It seemed like it just flew by.
Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends!
We've been talking about Chinese food for a week now; so I think that's what we'll be having for lunch today.
Breakfast - Belvita Oat Biscuits
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Roast beef sandwich, potato salad, tropical fruit, cranberry juice
Dessert/Snack - Banana walnut muffin and decaf coffee
Dinner - Yogurt
What did you eat yesterday?
Photo Credit: Mine - Monte's, Mile Marker 22, Summerland Key. This was our favorite seafood restaurant. Sadly, we're pretty sure it was destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2021.

I was at Disney World, so for breakfast I had a Mickey All-Star Bounty Platter at the Disney resort I was staying, and then later in the afternoon I had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. In between, we snacked on junk food like popcorn and ice cream and such as we walked around the theme park.
You know since you've been there, but many people don't realize that locations in the Keys are identified by mile marker more than they are by physical address. I think it's a pretty simple and effective way of identifying location there. Often times you don't even need to know the name of the business, it will be something like "the fish camp at mile marker 37," or "the little tiki bar at mile marker 48" or something like that.

Yes, that's why I have been identifying the pictures by Mile Marker. A pulled pork sandwich sounds good.

@moffittjc Key West is nice; but I prefer some of the other Keys more.

Thank you for the well wishes.
I love our country and also today.
I have my red shirt laid out to put on after my shower this morning.
Yesterday we ate on the fly for lunch. It was an excellent place. We almost did not go in because the parking lot was so full, but we were glad that we did.
We each had a chicken club wrap, and since the waitress warned us that they were huge (we could have split one) we split an order of French fries to go with it. We brought the second half of our wraps with us and they are in the fridge here in our hotel room. We may enjoy them for lunch today, we may bring them with us when we leave to eat on the way home. We never eat in the car, but may find a place to stop and have a picnic.
For supper we went to a bar & grill beside the hotel. Thankfully we were close as a major storm rolled through. There was a tornado touched down not far from here. Supper was good, my hubs had all you could eat chicken wings, I had a salad with grilled chicken on it. We had garlic bread and cheese to start, and I saved mine to eat with my salad.
This morning after breakfast we will head out to the farmer's market here to see what we can see.

@LindaOHio We are having a great time.
We did so much today, what we would normally do over the course of 2 or 3 days.
But we didn't want to be gone for too long.
Our son is on vacation next week and has asked Dad to help him with some landscaping on Monday while I watch the girls, and then on Tuesday we are driving to the region that we used to live in to meet my hubby's 2 older sisters, both of which are retired, and have a good little visit over lunch. After that I plan on relaxing for the rest of my vacation.

It's sad the hurricane destroyed it.
Enjoy your Chinese lunch.
Yesterday: Breakfast - Banana, Eggs, and potato. Birthday snack - Strawberry Shortcake, Lunch - Half pound hamburger on Ezekiel Bread with ketchup, mustard, and pickles on the side. No supper that was already over budget for calories.

That seafood restaurant would definitely interest me, but it’s sad that it was most likely destroyed.
I had what seems to be my pattern these days: shrimp tikka masala, salmon, carrots, and green beans, a handful of raw carrots, popcorn, and a plum.

Did you mention June? Was there a June? Summer is always the hardest for me and hits me on all cylinders with all the memories. I had seasoned fries and gravy. Doing better now at the end of next week I get to order groceries and still have stuff to make.

@LindaOHio it is that summer that always does it every time. SIGH I am waiting for September and by then this horrible humid hot weather will also be over.

June did fly by. But it's always like that, June being the busiest month of the year for me...
I have no idea what I ate yesterday. Can hardly remember what I ate today. Lol

Yes the month did go by quickly it seems. Can't believe it is already July.
Hope you'll enjoy the chinese food.
Yesterday we ate from one of the food trucks that was at our town square.

Do you eat Chinese food? Probably not because of the veggies.
