1 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'm sorry I haven't been here today. It was a playday.
I'm thankful for a good night's sleep. And the nap I got before I left this morning.
I'm thankful I remembered to get birthday cards distributed to the birthday people in the building this morning, also before I left.

I'm thankful for the Fourth of July picnic my next-door neighbor invited me to. The food was good. I just got home a short while ago. It was a hot day. I'm happy to be home.
I'm thankful for the scale this morning. I think I dropped a pound since yesterday. I need to check the Excel program to see my stats.
That's my day. I'm going to work on the notifications and get off the computer. No bookwork today.

Chilly behaving himself and making things easy for us to get his weight. He's getting to wear he's not exactly afraid of it. I also love the sound of his purr, too.

@just4him For the first few months, we couldn't get Chilly on the scale without a game of chase. Today, he put up very little fight. Get it done at the vent, two people have to basically toss him on.And he wants to throw paws at them over it.

Your day sounds like fun.
My day has been quiet. My daughter was supposed to go to a friends for a bbq but the air was so bad here yesterday she had an asthma attack. She's feeling better today but didn't want to spend time outside. So, we started a tv series and just being lazy.

The routine of Birthday cards distribution to Birthday folks sound interesting. Such a trend is non existent here.
Picnic with next door neighbours also sound exciting.
I hope that your weight check goes as expected.
I am thankful for the nice Sunday morning sleep I could get.

This Monday we have terribly slightly hot and humid weather.
Rains have eluded us for the past few days.
Some rains would definitely be handy for us.
Humidity makes matter worse.

Someone here put out a list of people in the building with birthdays. I'm not the only one putting cards on doors. Last year I got many cards for my birthday. It made me want to give cards to people here too. It's fun.
My weight is going in the right direction.

We have had some warm to hot days here. Thankfully, the air quality is in the moderate to good category today. It's good to see blue skies again.

How nice that you were invited to the picnic. I will be thankful for the rain if it ever gets here. All of Ohio has had rain except for our little NE corner of Ohio. Enjoy your day.

@LindaOHio I hope that changes. I just looked at the sky and am hopeful. I'm seeing signs of a coming storm. On face value, you wouldn't know it will rain, but the kind of clouds they are is an indicator it will rain within 24 hours. Now, it needs to happen here as predicted.

The trees look like blue spruce, my favorite evergreens. I was thankful for good fellowship while learning the IT features of our system at church.

I know there are a couple of different varieties of trees. I don't know what they are though. I know they're pretty and the birds love to nest in them. They've been singing this morning.

I also try to be thankful for everything. Sometimes I think it's the everyday things I take for granted like a bed to sleep in or food to eat. God is so good and we should be thankful always.
