Scientists are very concerned about the temperature of the waters in the Miami/Key West area which are increasing due to climate change. Normal temperatures are in the 73-88 range; but temperatures lately have been reported in the mid 90s (35 Celsius). These very warm temperatures can cause bleaching of the coral reefs, leaving them pale and vulnerable. Stressed corals expel their colorful algae symbionts. Coral reefs provide homes for millions of marine life species, support healthy ocean food webs, protect coastlines and help support the local economy as a tourist attraction. Climate change could kill the Earth's coral reefs by the year 2100. In response to this crisis, scientists are propagating and transplanting healthy corals from the lab to the ocean in an attempt to place heartier specimens out in the water. We finally got some more rain yesterday. Our plants enjoyed it for sure!! Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - We had an extra Meals on Wheels lunch - Meatball sub, carrots, broccoli, mixed fruit Dessert/Snack - Chocolate chip muffin and decaf coffee Dinner - Yogurt What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Mine - Another picture around the Islander Resort, Islamorada, Florida Keys. They have a really nice fishing pier there.

@lindaohio I don’t really approve of all this heat that’s going around. Europe’s being scorched right now but Ireland’s escaping it - we’re special! I’m not eating much now - too much food last week on holiday!

Somebody on myLot asked me yesterday if the ocean water was really boiling around Florida. I explained somebody was exaggerating for more views... Hmm... I ate a piece of meat pizza for breakfast yesterday, ate two sloppy joes for lunch, some fresh cherries, a mandarin orange and some pasta with chicken for supper. I'm glad you finally got some rain. I hope you get some more.

@LindaOHio — groovy! I’m washing dishes and seeing how much liquid I can put in my gut before I have to drink “the potion.”

We had some rain yesterday. After going without rain for so long, I no longer regard it as an inconvenience to my outdoor plans, but a necessity for our world.

It would be so tragic if anything should happen to coral reefs, We have rain and more rain but then it is cooler and I eat more. I started off with rice and chicken nuggets, then pork patties with American cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla, and finally cottage cheese,

I’m not sure about everything, but I know I had salmon, carrots, a very small portion of shrimp pasta, and a bag of Harvest Snaps lightly salted baked green pea snacks.

It's a shame what affect humanity has on our beautiful earth but Mother Nature is getting even and will survive in the end. She changes with each millennium.

@LindaOHio No one ever mention that there are also too many humans on this earth. We have no more resources left for all those people.
