Is Donald Trump actually losing it?

I think of President Joe Biden as approaching senility. I cringe when I see him give a speech, as I'm always waiting for him for forget what he was saying. I was not among those who thought Donald Trump was becoming senile. I have watched some of his older interviews, and he was never really able to put a sentence together. He is just not a very intelligent man. But this recent video suggests that Trump may actually be "losing it." He ran against Obama in 2016? We might be approaching WWII? What is going on? Let me know what you think. Trump says he does not drink alcohol, and I actually believe him. Could he be on meds? He is starting to look and sound like a Very Old Man. For the record, I tossed my car keys in the dumpster the other day while cleaning my truck. I had to play Sherlock Horse to find them. I am not immune from the aging process. But for the grace of God...and all that. Actually, it's "Soon enough, even with the grace of God..."

He is showing signs of cognitive decline.

But my argument has been that he never made much sense. Or said anything of substance.

@JimBo452020 I am not sure I agree. But I will continue to watch what he says.

I like Biden and I think he’s done a good job but I’d rather see a younger man run for President this time. We all know Trump should not run for president but the horror is he will get a lot of votes in Georgia.

@RubyHawk It's never happened in the past. He lost the popular vote (nationally) in both elections in which he was a candidate. I doubt his popularity is increasing.

He lost Georgia in 2020. Do you think his votes could go up in 2024 if he's still in the race?

@TheHorse He could get a majority of votes, hard to understand but it could happen.

It can be a combination of many things, but I know he gets many things wrong. Lack of sleep, some stress about his situation, maybe lack of intelligent conversation with others. Poor eating habits? Who knows? Too many politicians are having glitches lately.

Do you think he had intelligent and thoughtful conversations in the past? I honestly don't know. From what I've read about him, he struggles with his listening skills, and with his knowledge base.

I watch videos on YouTube nearly every day. I have heard Biden give long speeches and they are coherant and pretty brilliant. I listened to Trump accuse Biden of starting World War II just today. And call him Obama instead of Biden. Trump gets worse all of the time. He is losing it! He's a little worried about his many legal woes. The GOP isn't doing much better. After all, there is only three years age difference.

I am probably being too hard on Biden. He's a bright guy. And his policies are (mostly) working. But I can't say I look forward to his speeches.

@TheHorse ........I don't look forward to any of it. Glad when it's over. Wish it didn't mean so much.

It is a long time that Joe Biden shows sign of senility, this is a process that cannot be stopped, I cannot understand how the Democrat Party allows him to run for another term. I have the feeling that Trump is extremely stressed, add the fact that he only eats garbage food, it's surely the best way to go to "look young".

I have no idea about his mindset. I do know Biden is the one we should be concerned about. He is the president after all. And he is more than just getting old.

Biden is doing a good job. But I am glad he is quiet about it. He has been wise not to get involved in Trump's antics. But do you think he can come up with a policy that simultaneously allows for more domestic oil production and ensures the safety of oil workers and communities near oil rigs? I have not gone down that rabbit hole yet.

@TheHorse What a joke. List three things Biden has done for our country. A good job? There are other reasons he is being quiet. I will leave it at that.

It's fairly well established that Trump abuses prescription Adderall. According to some sources, he crushes it and snorts it. I remember one of his few press conferences where a white substance that appeared to be part of a crushed pill blew out of his nose while he was speaking.

The future belongs to the younger generation - the older ones should step aside. This is an issue in many other countries too. Politics has become a cesspool and those who can make a change are afraid to tread the waters.

It's sad that it's happening all around the world. I tend not to like "rules," but maybe we should put an age limit on presidential candidates.

@JimBo452020 I don't think he is that clever. If he were clever, he would not have all of those indictments hanging over his head. All they got Al Capone for was tax evasion.
