And Sunday Brings Urgent Care

Not for me but for my daughter that I took a couple of weeks ago. She doesn't have a car so I told her that I would take her. She wanted to wait until Monday, but I insisted that she go today, and that is how we spent our afternoon. She got antibiotics, and inhaler, decongestant and over the counter Mucus Relief DM last time she went and a steroid. She never got over the crud and was hoping to knock it out with over the counter cough and cold. That didn't happen. The doctor gave her more antibiotics and said she probably has pneumonia and to report to his office next week or to her primary care to get chest x-rays to confirm diagnosis. We went to get her medicine after the dr. visit and then I took her home. She was tired and ready for bed. She is running a low to mid range fever and I hope that breaks tomorrow. Hopefully, this round of antibiotics and other medicine will knock it out this time. That is how I spent my afternoon. What did you do on your Sunday afternoon?

Bless her heart, I know you're worried and she's miserable. Pneumonia 's nothing to take lightly.

She felt better after getting first dose in her and taking a nap! I think tomorrow she will feel even better.

Mostly I rested. It takes a long time to get your strength back after pneumonia. I hope she will rest a lot.

I’m terribly sorry to hear that. My Sunday was boring (a drive to admire the foliage and a nap), certainly not as hectic and mentally exhausting as your day.

Your drive sounds lovely, not boring. We don't get all of those gorgeous colors here.

I hope your daughter listens to the doctor and gets the x-rays she needs and takes the prescription she got... I slept most of the day but did do two loads of dishes, folded towels, broke down a loaf of American cheese into six bags so they could be used, crushed a trash bag full of aluminum soda cans and cooked beef and noodles for my lunch.

I'm sorry you spent it in urgent care. I hope your daughter gets those x-rays. I spent Sunday in church in the morning and in front of the TV in the afternoon.

We will get them either Friday or early next week. That will give him time to see how the medicine is working and if she needs to change to something else.
