My hubby finally finished his project of getting his boat ready for the water again, so he planned on putting it in the water yesterday. Since two of our grands were out of school they met us after we made a test run and enjoyed a little sunshine.
The live only a few miles from False River and met us mid-afternoon. My grandson brought all his fishing gear and was ready to really have some fun. This is the same little tot that got bit by the ell several years ago and required stitches. He's not afraid of anything.
We had a nice afternoon boating around and trying a couple of fishing spots, but to no avail. The water was a bit rough and choppy and the fish were not biting at all. Still a good time had with the kids! And a nice break from the regular routine here!

@LadyDuck I agree, not normal. After all the days in the 100's here, when it finally dropped down to 92 it felt cooler but we all felt like we were overheating within minutes still. Very odd! I pray this winter is not as extreme as the summer was!

jest look 't those cuties! glad y'all got to spend that time together. fishin' 'tis tricky'n choppy waters, but jest bein' out there 'tis magic.
fun? sure, 'twas puttin' primer'n a section 'f house with the aid 'f 9 cats/kittens. amazin' none got painted'n the process.

@amitkokiladitya That also brings all the risks of hurricanes during the summer months. In fact, the season doesn't end until mid November.

Monday the wifey had the day off so we messed around with the pool, prepping to close it up for the season, and rearranged the garage a little bit, plus got a few errands done. It was a fun and productive day. I can see you had fun too.
