Probably Tomorrow

I am not yet decided, but I may run the camper over to the shop to have it winterized tomorrow. I'd do it on the weekend with the wifey, but they are closed on the weekends, so I have to do it during the week.
Going to cost me about $200.
Not that it's that big of a deal. It takes me about 20 minutes to get it all hooked up. But it's 20 minutes to hook it up, another 20 minutes to unhook it, just to go a few miles down the road and not do any camping.
But it has to be done.

I hope you manage to get your camper winterized soon. Better get it done and then it'll be over with. Then you can sleep easy.
Our plumber is supposed to be coming today to connect the new washing machine. I hope this one comes and does it, so then I can do some laundry on Monday at last!
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

This weekend it's supposed to be so nice outside...if I had a camper, I think I would hook up and go for one more weekend and enjoy the fall weather! But yes, I know they have to be winterized.

We still have two more camping trips before winterizing our rig. One at the end of this month, and one over Veteran's Day weekend. Because of our planned December trip (without the camper) to California, I may have to do a partial winterization myself before we go and take it into the shop for a full PMCS once we return in January.

@porwest I have a small air compressor and a fitting that attaches to the water inflow valve on the camper. Using it, I can blow out all the water lines. Then, I add a bit of antifreeze to the gray and black water tanks. I found the method on YouTube. It should be enough until I can get it down to the shop.
These days you can learn how to do almost anything on YouTube.

@DWDavis Yeah. True. I've watched a couple of videos on it but for some reason it still seems to want to confuse me. I guess it's worth the $200. But it's the getting it there and getting it back without the camping fun to go along with it, even though it only takes a few minutes to connect and disconnect even with the stabilizer bars.

Yeah, something that big and expensive has to have upkeep, for sure.

Not to rub it in or anything, but if you lived in Florida, you wouldn't ever have to winterize your camper!
But then again, you would have to do something with said camper when those pesky little hurricanes come our way!

@porwest I wonder how vehicle insurance deals with flooding? I know for homes your regular homeowners insurance won’t cover flood damage, you have to purchase a separate policy for that. But I wonder how it’s handled for vehicles?

@moffittjc Hmm. That's a good question. I really have no idea.

A pain to have to do all that hooking up and unhooking for the camper to be winterized but not something you can put off for too long.
