I wrote about the Christmas Craft Fair held recently in our club house. It wasn’t only the ladies showing off their wares.
This gentleman does the most beautiful woodwork. Many of his pieces featured inlays of different coloured woods. He is holding one of them for Vince to take a photo.
Another man’s wife had brought in many of his framed photographs of animals and birds from his native South Africe. Unfortunately, he is now suffering from Alzheimer’s and is in care at the nursing home which is conveniently sited at one end of the village.

I do really enjoy craft fairs or regular fairs where they sell crafts. You never know what they will have. Last time I went to one, I bought a really unique air freshener that looks like multicolored puzzle pieces.

@JudyEv I do too. The smell of wood while working, especially pine and cedar, is amazing. Today, I received my package of cedar closet boards and cedar chips to put in closets, and just kept smelling them over and over. It was so calm and lovely.

How lovely the home is there in the village though Judy. Bless.
Those are lovely those wooden design things the man made. A lovely photo too.

It is indeed. It's not just something to use but a work of art as you say.

I agree with the title. Talent shows when one is 5. He or she will do things when they grow up.

I enjoy viewing the handiwork of craftsman and have gone to a few fairs promoting crafts. I agree. It is amazing what they can do with everyday items.

That's sad about the man who has Alzheimers. Sometimes out creations out live us.

All the things in that table look lovely. It's nice that the men don't mind joining in to show off what they've done too.

People are so talented. The only thing I ever did well was needlework. Have a great day. Sorry to hear about the man with Alzheimer's.

That's very true too and quite sad really. Everyone has something that they're good at.

Do you have a particular talent or hobby? I can crochet well but that's about all.
