Can you believe it is so close to the new year? Two months. Do people still do New Year's Resolutions? Mine never lasts anyway.
The weather has taken a nosedive around here. It snowed in the mountains a day or so ago. It has dropped from mid 60's to the 40's in just a couple of weeks. Brrr! It is going to be high 40's the next few days with the temp dropping to 19 degrees today. It will be 51 degrees on Monday and down to 24 at night. But, Thursday it will jump to 61. The wind has been pretty intense lately too.
I haven't been on Mylot much lately. I'm beginning to drop in mood as is my regular MO for the fall and winter months. This is the time of year that I 'hibernate'. I sleep a lot and am lazy as a slug.
How are you folks feeling? Hopefully, you are all doing okay and looking forward to some nice holidays with family and friends. Best wishes for a safe, wonderful time with many fond memories to be had.
I will begin posting memories and stories from my past experiences and hopefully, none of them will bore you to tears.

The last New Year's resolution from about 30 years ago is still going well.
I decided not to make New Year's resolutions...
It is chilly and rainy here... with snow in the forecast for Sunday and Monday.
I don't go outside as much in the Winter, but that's about the only change I make.

They don't work for me. Ugh! on the snow. I will start feeling constricted and confined. Just want to sleep until May. I don't go outside at all. Haven't since August over a year ago. Whenever I got my eye done.

Please do not mention the holidays or the New Year every year I have a mental picture of me with a noose around my neck not that I would do anything but the holidays are just too painful, This year I have my two cats so we will see how it goes, Now you know how I am feeling, I work like a maniac till the end of the year, Today I wrote up and posted eight articles to Vocal Media to make some pennies and soon I will just crash into bed and read and hope I sleep through, Looking forward to your posts.

I have an ongoing resolution to lose weight. Not doing well with that. It's currently cloudy and 53F here. We may get some s**w this week. Please don't be in a low mood. Our holidays are always quiet as it's just the two of us. Hope you are having a decent day.

October flew out the window SO fast!
I stopped making resolutions and just try to do good and be a better person than I was the day day before, week before, etc. and help others as much as I can.
I feel the same way about winter. I hate cold weather and my body can't take it anymore. So I'll be staying home as much as I can as long as we don't have temps in 20's and the house is cold!!

@celticeagle We have a little warm up this week and I'm loving it! The temperature eases up a degree or two or three every day for a week. I think it is Sunday where high will be 80 and Wednesday 85! Saturday night is last night in the 40's for awhile too! Love it!!

I tend to go into hibernation mode about this time of year if the sun's not shining. It was yesterday (Saturday) so I managed to go out and do some shopping.
On Jan.2 of this year I resolved to write in my journal "more than once a year." I got as far as May 4th...

I write on here, eat, watch TV, quibble with the cats, harass my kids, and play games on my phone. I miss those days when I had a life but not that often.

I have to remember to take my vitamin D more often in order to keep my winter depression at bay. I remember it was pretty hard on me last winter.
