My eldest daughter invited me for Christmas.

You know that I have been very depressed at how my daughter Claudia behaves with me. She lives very near my house but she has come only once for a small while to my house and I have seen her 2 more times in all these months for my birthday and for her birthday, both times at a restaurant and without my younger grandchildren.
So I was very happy and moved when Tania invited me to her house in Pucón for a few days for Christmas.
I had been waking up for some time thinking that I did not want to either go to Claudia´s "just because" or stay at home because she hadn´t invited me.
This, friends, has been the reason of all the lots of chocolate cakes these last few months.
But Tania called me and she explained me that I could either go by bus or by plane. But although the plane trip is shorter, it leaves me at the next town. And then I´d have to take a bus to Tania´s. Too difficult. So I told her that I´d go by bus in the best seats with beds). It takes all night to reach Pucón.
I´m very happy.

@LadyDuck Claudia does not seem to want to mend things much. I know that she has had problems in her life but that does not mean that I will accept the way she has treated me this last year. We would have to have a long conversation and that is not going to happen, as it seems.

@marguicha - I understand very well, I am like you, I confess that I am also full of pride. If someone offended me, I am not going again to their house. I would invent an excuse, but for me some things cannot be adjusted.

@DaddyEvil I´ll buy the best seats in the best buses. They have the second floor only for a few people and the seats are transformed into beds during the night. Nobody goes there except the people in charge. And besides, who´d be interested on the feet of a 78 year old woman? I will take good care of my bag, though.

@marguicha Just be careful on the bus. Pretty rode the Grey Hound bus from Pennsylvania to Missouri coming home from college and had a bad experience on the ride. She fell asleep and some guy started playing with her feet.

@JudyEv These are 2 story buses. The second story has space for mayber only 6 people. The seat turn to real beds where you can stretch and sleep well. They are more expensive but it is worth it for long trips at my age.

I´m sure I will. To begin with, she finally invited me to her house and to make it better it is for Christmas. She is building the bridges that were destroyed with the fire.

Those seats are the most expensive in the market and only few buses have it. But to me it is worth it. It is a once in a lifetime trip.

I´ll take only what I can get on one suitcase with wheels. I can´t manage with more than that. And as for gifts, I´ll ask Tania to take me to a plant nursery and will get her a plant for her house. And Diego will love money best of all.
