Still in the hospital, but we no longer are on the breathing machine. They pulled him off less than an hour ago. He's suctioning out all the extra gunk that comes with i. He'll be watched closely for complications while healing from his g-tube placement. All in all he's taking it quite well. Although I can't help but think he's mad at me.

He's doing okay so far. Sleeping a bit more comfortably I think.

Is he feeling better? Probably getting that 'extra gunk' out will help him to heal. Glad to hear things are going okay.

He's so-so. Still has a lot of junk in his lungs from the tube being in so long, but he's coughing it up better. And, I imagine the site of his g-tube is a bit uncomfortable.

To a fault. I know he wouldn't have wanted the g-tube. But, I wasn't going to let him starve.

Because I made the decision and consented to the placement of the tube. As I had to as his wife.

@just4him No. And I know he kind of knew what was going on when he was intubated.

He should not be mad at you, you are both his partner and advocate. I am glad he was not on the vent long. As far as the g tube, when my first husband had one they said that using it would help it heal. I hope he can endure it long enough for it to help him.

I am sure he can. He even told me, the nurse knows what she's doing... lol.... almost scolding me. So I guess he's okay with it?

Good..sounds like he is on the mend again. Lets just hope it continues. I hope you can really push to get him into rehab though..lying immobile in that hospital bed..is likely not helpful Glad for you guys though!!

@kaylachan That would be good..even if he has to be pushed in a chair or something just getting some activity would be good.

This is good news, even if it probably not the best news. I don't think he is mad at you. He is simply uncomfortable. I know I would not be extremely good company in similar circumstances. Not because I would want to be bad company. But because, well...I was stuck in a situation where I was not in control of it. Hang in there. Better times are ahead. I am sure of it.
