A cousin I am very close to lives in White Bear Lake, MN. He had a dental appointment today at 2 PM. This is his regular dentist. For reasons unknown, they had called twice to reschedule the appointment, which he said had never happened before.
He is neither an early or late person, he luckily timed his arrival for about 1:45 PM. He arrived to discover a semi truck had crashed and was basically inside the dentist office! Luckily no one was killed.
My cousin said no, he truly did not always enjoy the dentist visits, but this was a shock to arrive to. We are all just happy he wasn't inside the building.

I have always enjoyed my visits there. I wasn't sure if anyone here would even be familiar with White Bear Lake!

I would certainly hope not! Once is enough!! I can’t imagine how I would feel if I was in a building and a semi truck crashed into it. Scary stuff!!

We all were very glad.
Last year, he was in a wreck, not his fault, his car was T-boned. He had several surgeries and has had a hard year recovering from that, he certainly didn't need another wreck to deal with!

I do not know the condition of the truck driver. It could have been any number of things wrong--illness, a heart attack, brake failure, etc. I am sure it will be investigated.

Wow, now that is a sight you don't see very often at the dentist's office!

@MarieCoyle I don't even know what I would do. I'd like to think I'd have a fast reaction time to move out of the way . . . but who knows until that moment
.

I think many people would not even have time to react very fast if this happened. It's just not what you expect to happen. Like you say, ''who knows?'' and we don't until something happens to us.

I think if that happened to me, I would just freeze on the spot!

It's a miracle that no one was killed and certainly that your cousin wasn't in the building.

We are all very thankful, they have been through enough in the past year, trying to overcome the terrible accident they were in when a car T-boned them.

Oops.
My five-year-old son got into my parent's car and hit the house as he was backing up. It's good he did because otherwise he would have gone down a steep driveway into the road. On another occasion, the same age, I was at the laundromat, and he got into the truck and almost hit a showroom window. The manager of the business, got to him before he could do any damage, praise God, and brought him to us and told us what happened. He didn't do anything like that again.

It sounds like he leads a charmed life! A friend's son did a similar thing years ago, got in her car and somehow put it in gear--it hit the neighbor's car. Problem with that, the neighbor was an Illinois state trooper! But it was all fixed. Needless to say, they locked their cars after that incident!

I'm glad no one was killed.
The closest we ever came to a vehicle hits building scenario was long ago when Great-grandpa (who shouldn't have been driving!) forgot to open the garage door before he backed the car out of the garage...oops!

Oh my goodness. I'm glad no one was injured. I guess they'll have to reschedule again. Have a good evening.

Things like this always makes me think about the old saying of ''anything is possible'' because in many cases, it certainly is!

I can't even imagine how terrified all of the people must have been.
