Already two days after Christmas!

We went to Tammy and Jay's house in Charleston for Christmas and it was the best we've had in years.
Everyone was well (that was a blessing) and I was able to eat and everything was delicious!
We had a feast and so many desserts. I took two pecan pies, chocolate mint squares, and pecan snowball cookies, Kristin made a peanut butter pie, and we had pumpkin pie, cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, and macarons.
Tammy decorated the dining room and table beautifully...the next morning was fun opening gifts.
We drove home the next day and enjoyed some thrift stores and supper along the way.
Last Christmas I had just had breast cancer surgery, the two years before that were messed up for different reasons, so this was a very special Christmas. God was very merciful to all of us.
I pray your celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ was a special time for you and your family.

@LindaOHio Robert got sick after Christmas, better now, but I don't feel good at all. He didn't have Covid, so maybe this won't get too bad.
The nurse called yesterday and both my scans were negative. So much to praise God for!

I appreciate that, Linda. Hope your Christmas is still going good. I'm at the doctor getting a nuclear bone scan and a CT scan. But my eating issue is much better.

@1creekgirl the little darlings made me laugh today. I opened their Christmas present a 22 lb Friskies Seafood bag of dry food. Realizing that now the meaty gravy swirls that I had previously have been replaced by salmon and other seafood they have been running back and forth to the kitchen and trying to eat up all 22 lb in one day

Praise the Lord you were able to enjoy this Christmas. And what a feast you had! So many different pies and sweets to choose among. It's hard to beat good health and family and some delicious food treats sure comes close, lol.

My youngest went to medical school in Charleston, and lived there for a time afterwards, so I have spent a few Christmases there myself. I love Charleston. I am so glad to hear you had such a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks! We love Charleston (Mt Pleasant), but is just so far away. Seven hours of driving one way is getting harder the older we get. But it was a blessed gathering.

@1creekgirl Our big celebration this year was Thanksgiving, because several couldn't be here for Christmas. So it was fairly low-key and quiet, but we had a very nice time, thank you!

That's amazing! So happy your Christmas this year was a far better one than last year's. God is good all the time! I enjoyed Christmas this year. Not as much as I wanted to but it was peaceful. I ate some goodies and watched some Christmas movies. I'm hoping that next year's Christmas will be far more enjoyable for me. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and optimal health! :)
