Yummy Pot Roast

A pot roast in the crock pot is always good methinks, and it has been a little while since I have made one. But I did make one yesterday and it turned out just as delicious as I expected it would.
The way I like to make it is so simple and requires very little extra seasoning. I just tossed in the slab of meat, seasoned it lightly with some Durkee Italian herb seasoning and onion salt, then added in some carrots and potatoes and onions, and poured in a packet each of brown gravy mix and Ranch dressing mix—and presto. It was delicious.
I served the meat over a bed of cooked white rice and had some buttered mixed vegetables. For an added touch we bought some garlic cheesy bread sticks when we were at Trader Joe's and those were quite good too.
What went on your dinner table last night?

@porwest I don’t use mine nearly as much as I should either, so don’t feel too bad.

@moffittjc It's so easy to use, you'd think I would. Maybe I need to change my habit a bit I guess.

The picture is beautiful. And I loved the way that the veggies look so fresh.

@marguicha You hear that @NJChicaa? Marguicha thinks I should become a chef. How do you feel about that?

At the risk of sounding like Chicca, your pot roast looked good until I saw the peas. Sorry.

@porwest I know you like them. I've just never cared for them.

@1creekgirl The weird thing about me is that I love canned green beans but don't really care for fresh ones. Go figure. Although, peas I can eat both ways, but prefer frozen.

That sounds pretty good, I can't wait to get in my
cabin where I can cook up some good foods that
I can eat, but with the way things are going to
getting it done it's going to be a while.

@porwest I'm in the cabin but STILL don't have my kitchen set up
I can cook but I haven't had the chance with getting the food I want
in here cause I don't have the cabinets to put the food.

I've never put my vegetables on top of my roast or meat like that. It's always separate. Otherwise, your meal sounds good.
My neighbor had me over for dinner last night. They made New York strip steak, baked potato with butter and sour cream, fried onions and mushrooms, green beans, lettuce salad, and carrot cake for dessert. I came home stuffed.

Sounds dee-lish. We stopped at DQ on the way home from the rehab place; and I bought a DQ box of chicken strips, fries and Texas toast. It will last me 2 meals. Have a good day.

I love a good pot roast in the crock pot. So good, and so easy. Plus the leftovers are always great, too.

Well, don't post about it until after you have eaten it, because it sounds so good I might show up for dinner if I knew it was pot roast!
PS. I will bring a loaf of homemade bread and a pie. Don't forget the carrots and onions!

We had Whataburger. Earned gift card paid for it. Lol. Chris had a bacon and cheese whataburger with mayo and ketchup and fries and I had a chicken cobb salad with ranch dressing.
it was pretty good, my salad was 9 dollars but it was pretty yummy so i cant really complain much.
