Is Trump really selling $400 "gold-plated" sneakers?

I know that Trump is facing some hefty fines, and I know that his PACs are running out of money, but do you really believe the Lefty press when they say that Trump is selling golden sneakers for $400/pair? I'll attach a Lefty YouTube video that appears to show Trump getting booed at a rally promoting such sneakers, but in the world of AI, I don't believe everything I see on the internet. I've even seen it alleged that a GoFundMe page has been started on Trump's behalf. I do not believe that for a minute. What are your thoughts? I would never vote for Trump, but do you really believe he is selling "golden sneakers" for $400/pair?

He is and I just read they won't ship until July at the earliest. Also in the fine print is no guarantee on when they will ship and no refunds. So people just gave him money if they ordered

@xander6464 I think the pair he had with him are the only ones. They just fleeced people for their money and protected themselves with that tiny print that people seldom read

I saw that the Putz was booed at the con thing the shoes were at. Yep. $399. I think he is going to need a GoFundMe page before all is said and done. I bet he's glad he lied about how rich he is/was. Now he has to come up with the $$. What a Putz.

LOL. A GoFundMe page for a former "billionaire." That would be pretty funny. I am starting to think that the video I attached is "real."

@MarieCoyle Are you kidding me? I thought this as a joke from an insult comic or SNL.

@TheHorse I have seen a gofundme page for him, as soon as he got slapped with the last fine. People were donating. Ugh.

You may be right. One MyLotter said she believes that the GoFundMe thing could be real as well. I will "gather data" before I come to any bold conclusions.

@xander6464 I read the article. But can we trust Newsweek? Didn't they once have articles by Communist George Will in their pages?

YES, but they are only painted in gold and all the shoes have already been sold out.

@TheHorse NO, it is surely NOT real gold. It's a gold painting.

Yes he is but they aren't gold-plated. More like gold-painted.

@NJChicaa Have they even been made yet? It would be funny if it were proven that they existed and were made in China.

@Happy2BeMe To some, it raises questions about our educational system. I teach my students to "seek more information."

Trump is selling sneakers at prices from $199 to $399 a pair. They are not currently shipping and reportedly won't for several months, but preorders have reportedly been heavy. I have a feeling that Trump has no intention of shipping a single pair of shoes. He'll collect as much as he can, pay the money out to himself, and declare the company bankrupt. That's how he's made all his money all his life.

Wouldn't that be a bit bold when he is under scrutiny for fraud? Or did I miss a nudge and a wink?

@xander6464 Can he keep himself out of prison.? If all of what you suggest happens before the sentencing stage, will it mean a longer terms? I don't sense much remorse on this guy's part.

@TheHorse He is incapable of remorse. Trump believes whatever he does is right because he did it, just like he believes everything he says his true because he said it.

First, in the case of the "golden sneakers", what size are they? They could be the size to fit a baby for the $400 a pair. Secondly, where is he going to get the gold or gold paint? He doesn't have the money to do the painting or get the sneakers. Then, if there is a "gofundme" page set up for the Putz, I'm fairly sure that someone is going to step in and suck up the money that is accumulated for him before he can set a sticky finger on it. I get sick to my stomach every time I see a picture of Trump, he always looks like a frigging prune!!! He never looks pleasant. I get the feeling if the man smiles his face would break and fall off!!! I'm participating in a discussion about the homeless and helping them, I wonder if he is out there panhandling for cash to help get him out of financial trouble????

More and more people are saying it's for real. Or are you just saying he'll never actually ship them?

PEOPLE are selling them. Trump is not behind the scenes selling them. There are all sorts of Trump related items Trump doesn't have much to do with. As for the sneakers, I think they look ridiculous. But if some idiot wants to buy them and wear them, more power to them. It's still a free and capitalist country. The sneakers sold out quickly, somebody got paid heftily, and customers were fine and happy with what they bought. So, to me it's really a non-story. Beyond that, you never know. The people who sold them MAY actually be Trump HATERS for all we know, who decided to come up with a ridiculous idea that COULD be attached in some way to Trump and offer a good news story and a laugh. You just never know.

It's a funny and silly story, now matter who thought the sneakers up. From Trump' perspective, it gets him some publicity, regardless of how big a cut he gets.
