What a wonderful little warmup we had yesterday, up into the mid 70s with 80 coming on Tuesday. My wife and I took good advantage of the day. Got some cans crushed that had accumulated in the garage. Plus she vacuumed out the vehicles and washed the windows.
We had a lot of water built up from snow and rain on the pool cover, so we pumped some of that off to help make it easier when we pull the cover to reopen the pool probably sometime in May.
Plus, as an added bonus, it seemed a perfect time to get the grill fired up for the first time in 2024. I had some brats in the freezer so I parboiled them and threw them on the grill.
We had these yummy links on Portuguese bread with some fried onions and green peppers and brown mustard with a salad on the side.
What went on your dinner table last night?

Your meal is making me hungry. Too bad I no longer eat pork. I'd have devoured that sucker.
Last night I had a piece of veal tongue my mom boiled, along with her fried wild mushrooms and onions, and some left over rice from a Peruvian restaurant.

Grilled brats are just good food to me. Especially with the onions and peppers.
Pass the mustard, please!

Did you break records? We did here. It was 54. We're getting up to 63 today or tomorrow and then a huge cool down with snow in the forecast, and then it will warm up into the 60s again.
I'm glad you could fire up the grill and enjoy brats with all the fixings. Enjoy the warm weather. Remember, it's still winter.
