Maybe there's an actual cruise in our near future!

This has been busy week for sure. Last Thursday I had my Botox migraine injections. Friday I had the second removal of a squamous cell skin cancer. My Dermatologist said she was positive she got it all and that it hadn't spread, but will get the pathology report this week. Sunday we went to church to hear a friend preach, then several of us ate at a Japanese restaurant afterwards. Monday I had a lumbar epidural in my back and so far so good. Still some pain, but much better. Tuesday (yesterday) we shopped for a few things for the cruise. Today I had the chemo port removed at a surgi center. Thankfully it wasn't general anesthesia which takes longer to recover from, but I was sedated so I didn't feel or remember anything. We're sure praying there are no more medical events before the cruise! Now, I have to practice two songs I'm singing at a friend's church next Sunday, practice a few songs for karaoke on the boat, alter a few pieces I want to wear, go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary next Tuesday, and pack. Good thing I'm a list maker or I would be even more overwhelmed than I am!

They've all kind of happened at the last minute and each one required a least a day to recover, so we're down to the wire!

From the good Lord Himself! I'm still not back to pre cancer stamina, but I take a nap every day or I'd never make it to bedtime.

@JudyEv On Christmas I lost my list and almost had a meltdown! Thankfully I had most of the gifts bought. With this Chemo brain, I forget what I've ordered from Amazon, so it's like Christmas when the guy delivers boxes, lol.

For some weird reason I thought your cruise was this week, and that was why you hadn’t been around. No, it’s been because you’re really really busy! I’m so glad the cancer has been removed, and we’ll just pray the report is good, and everything goes well from here. You’ve gone through so much in just a week!

@1creekgirl Oh, good! I hope the Magnesium Glycinate helps you. And I hope you get a lot of good pictures from the cruise; it’s getting to be an exciting time. My dad just went to the throat doctor today, and he said everything looks great. He thinks the cause of the problem is his allergies. To give you an idea of how badly his allergies are, even on allergy medication, his eardrums have burst before. So, hearing it was allergies like my dad first thought, was a big blessing.

It really has a whirlwind trying to get all of it in before the cruise. How's your dad? Did I tell you my Neurologist definitely approved taking magnesium? I'll up my dose to 300mg and take it slow.

I really like this wedding photo, you've shown it before, but it is beautiful. You are such a trooper, so much on your plate that would send many to throw their arms in the air and give up, you keep on going, ticking things off of your list. Keep it up, better days are ahead!

I truly believe God has many more blessings for us. Not because we deserve them, but because He is so merciful! Have you and your family all gotten well? You guys have sure had a rough time for a while now.

@Juliaacv Oh my, that is so cute! I'd love to hear them. When our grandson Nathan was little, he had to use an inhaler and wait a few minutes between two puffs. So I taught him how to count in several languages rather than waste those few minutes.

My back injection isn't working as fast as I'd hoped, but maybe it will soon. Are you staying safe and well? You and your country are still in my prayers. When we get home and things settle down, I want to get a Star of David necklace.

@1creekgirl I am sorry that your back injection is not working as fast as you hoped it would do. I am trying to stay safe for myself and my cat. We are still at war and will be probably for a long time. That would be nice that you want to wear a Star of David necklace. I am very proud that I was born Jewish and live in this beautiful country.

I'm a list maker too. You've had a busy time. I hope your dermatologist has good news for you. The lumbar shot should be good for 6 months. I'm glad you don't remember the port removal. They never seem to use enough sedation when I've had colonoscopies, etc. Have a good day. Praying that NOTHING gets in the way of your cruise. Great photo.
