So this was the last day/night with my friend in Branson for vacation, and we had a really good time. We went to the restaurant known for the 14 inch pancakes this morning (no, I didn’t order one), went to the Amish store, the Victorian store, Dick’s 5 & 10, and the fudge store (my neighbor who is picking up my packages will be getting a lot of fudge), before seeing the play, “Queen Esther”. As you might have guessed, it was about the Biblical figure of Esther, who helped saved the Jewish people from extinction back in Bible times.
It was incredible! From the real animals, the gorgeous vocals of the cast, to the words of Scripture spoken with such sincerity- it moved the audience tremendously. I only wish I could see it again.
Have you seen a play lately? They don’t seem as popular as they once were, but they certainly can move one’s spirit.
*The picture is one I took inside the theater where “Queen Esther” was performed.

I haven't no. I have seen some plays I really enjoyed..but the last few I have seen bored me to tears..and one I fell asleep and one I left early. I think I would love a play with real animals My mom went to Branson once with a tour group. I will have to find out what she saw..I don't remember her talking about it. Glad you are having a good time.

Glad you enjoyed vacationing with your friend! I absolutely love plays, but haven't seen any since before covid. My theatre thrill during covid was "Hamilton" when it came on Disney+ . . . it was seriously exciting, though I know nothing beats seeing these things "live" right in front of you.

Your trip to Branson sounds like a wonderful time.
I haven't seen a play in ages. In fact, I don't think I've seen more than a few in my lifetime (unless you count school plays that my children were in or my grandkids)

I was very regular to watching plays before Covid. It has reduced a lot since the pandemic. I have a group of friends who love theatre and we would go together whenever there is something nice playing in the city. The last one I watched was in November last year, it was a beautiful moving play about relationship and how it grows with age.

Glad you enjoyed, sounds like a beautiful time (and that play sounds like one I'd Love to see, if the opportunity came up. )
The closest thing to a play I've seen lately was my son's class musical.

I am so glad you have had such a nice time. we have Amish settlements not far from here, I especially enjoy one Amish grocery store that sells homemade butter and cheese. I shut my eyes to the baked goods there!!

And honestly, don't you think they would sell way more of the baked goods if they would just take the time to pick the calories out of them?? Honestly, the nerve....

Plays have become obsolete in Indian cities. Earlier it was very popular.
