I am very forgiving when it comes to bad movies.
I give the creator, director, actors, the benefit of the doubt and try to see the good in it.
If it were not for Jake Gyllenhaal, the wildly popular dude from the 2005 Brokeback Mountain movie. who starred alongside Heath Ledger RIP, I would have shut the movie right off.
Redos, remakes can often be tolerated.
NOT THIS ONE!!!
If you loved Roadhouse the original movie of 1989, that starred the immortal Patrick Swayze RIP, oh hell no, you will be disgusted beyond measure at this new Roadhouse redo.
It made a complete mockery of the original.
Also Connor McGregor, the little leprechaun, as Liam Neeson refers to him as, made a right fool of himself in it.
There is no describing the absolute shambles and ridiculousness of this movie!!
Go for it if you are brave enough.

I do have to agree with you. Jake is about the only reason to keep watching, if you like him as an actor. Connor was a complete mess. In the first 5 minutes of him in the movie, I wanted to kill him. I'm not quite sure it was the over acting or was that the way they wanted the character. Either way every scene with him in it I was just hoping the scene would end.

@RebeccasFarm I very seldom watch movies.The last movie I watched recently is "Kashmir Files."It was a great movie and I enjoyed it a lot.I have not seen the movie you have mentioned here.

I don't like to watch remakes. I put so much store in the original the remake usually just irritates me. Too bad a good actor is in a poor film.

I have not seen it. I hate remakes. I refuse to watch remakes for example Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. The original is legendary. The remakes are Trash.

And I'm the same way, if a movie is awful, I just continue to watch it to the end. If it's filthy, we turn the DVD player off and never watch that movie again.

I did love the original Roadhouse and was going to watch the new remake but after reading this I think I'll probably pass.
