I've been wading through old discussions

I wrote about us printing a book about our travels in 2017. It was made up from Vince’s blog. He didn’t do a blog for our 2015 trip but I’ve discovered that I have a virtual journey of the five-month trip through my discussions on Bubblews (a few) and MyLot (a great many!). So we might try to do a second book. I’ve always written in Word and edited/tweaked my offerings before putting them up on MyLot. I’ve now very pleased I tackled it this way. It still means I have many files to wade through searching for posts about our travels but at least the text is all there somewhere. I also put up a lot of short video clips of photos before YouTube stopped that option. That will help us find the appropriate photos. And I’m a bit surprised at how much I’ve forgotten about the trip and about some other things. For instance, it seems I once read a book written from the viewpoint of Emily Bronte’s maid. I have absolutely no recollection of it but it’s there in hard print so I guess I did. I truly am getting old. The photo is of the Carrick-a-Rede swinging bridge.

Vince is fearless, I'd never go on a bridge like that.

We were lucky to do as much as we did I guess. I don't think we'll ever go back there now.

@judyev You'll be pleased to hear that the bridge is still swinging. We drove past it last week on the (long) way back from Donegal.

Same as @rebelann I would never go on a swinging bridge. The signs "Maximum number of people" always let me wondering, which weight? Eight people like my husband and I would weight as 4 average Americans.

Oh, I doubt you are that heavy, it seems obesity is prevalent in the USA unless you mean South America, those people tend to be thinner than we are here. I weigh 205 pounds. @ladyduck

@rebelann I am 106 pounds and now my husband is down to 130 pounds, together we are not even 240 pounds.

It's certainly a good idea too save your posts in Word. I do the same, write them all in word then paste them in. When I first joined Bubblews someone kindly suggested that idea and it's certainly useful in case you write a post and then the site crashes or something!

I almost always go back and refine/edit, at least a little. I've also gone back to verify a fact here and there, as when something happened or whatever.

I'd walk across that bridge, but I'd take my glasses off so as not to get vertigo. I have saved many of my Epinions and Bubblews posts.

What a glorious and scary walk in that photo. I don't think I would be able to do that nowadays. I do love the scenery there.

While there are ropes to hang on to, bridges like this don't worry me. They worry Vince more than they do me.

We have several swinging bridges in New Brunswick. I look forward to hubby hopefully being well enough to take a short walk. Right now a trip from the living room to the bathroom exhausts him. When my parents passed away my sister suggested I use all of my emails to family member, keeping them updated, and creating a book.

@JudyEv no. I decided that family had read them, maybe even saved them….I didn’t want to go through those couple of years a second time….yet….here I am.
