I get disappointed

I get disappointed in myself for not working hard and getting things done. I should do more than I do here at home. Going outside and doing stuff was on my radar, but it is raining now. I am still putting purchases away from yesterday, putting some bulk items into canister jars. We ate our own breakfasts when we got up. I made a nice lunch for us mostly of leftovers. Bob did not finish his burger last night, so he will eat that when he gets up from his nap. When the rain moved in he became incredibly sleepy. I have already eaten a chicken patty, baked potato, cottage cheese and toast with butter and apple butter. I have snacked on fruit mostly today. To alleviate my disappointment I am going to go do a few more things. Weekends are always laundry, unless I travel like last weekend. I have already prepped three meals for my lunches next week so that is a good thing. There is still plenty of time for me to do some cooking tonight. The pastor will serve us lunch tomorrow at church and then I will make potato ole bowls for tomorrow evening. I will even make guacamole for that. Left overs from tomorrow night will go into my lunches for next week as well.

It is just that there is always "more" to do.

@GardenGerty There is. I'm feeling like it's impossible to catch up today.

You can’t do better than Wonder Woman, and I’m pretty sure you you are on par with her already.

Thanks. I needed to vent. I see people who are on here and work and have small businesses and side gigs and I wish I could do more.

@GardenGerty The key to that is finding something that you are passionate about and then it won't be a burden doing--rather you will enjoy it!

If I were sick, or felt unwell I would give my self more leisure time.

@GardenGerty - It was only a bad migraine, but when it happens I take a relaxed day.

Sometimes it's really hard to get busy and get things done. You have a busy life too what with work and looking after Bob.

You can only do so much, although I understand your frustration. I like to get things done but feel bad if I have a lazy day. I spend the whole working week feeling like I need a break and then feel bad for having one!

I think you do get a lot done . . . it's just that it's hard to get "everything" done sometimes. This, I have to say to myself as well .

Probably not, but waiting around for things to fall into place is beginning to stress me a lot.

@GardenGerty I know. However, I've had to pratice patience a lot. I get annoyed with George, because he's not helping me take care of himself as much as I know he should. He creates more work for me, because he either doesn't feel things or doesn't care to deal with it. So I'm at my wits end sometimes. Just take a breath, give yourself permission to feel bad for a moment and move on. Beating yourself up just because you didn't get everything accomplished in a day. It's okay.

Don't beat yourself up about not doing enough. Weekends are for recharging and getting some rest. Have a good day.
