What color is this?!

For real! I'm dead serious!
I have been quarrelling with my parents about the color of this lighter.
We may agree the main color is pink, a very warm shade of pink, but the other color...
They both said it is yellow, while I'm 100% confident it is green. And we all saw this lighter in person and with the same light conditions, therefore no 'blue and black dress' dynamic.
I think my bias has to do with complementary colors, as the pink is almost red my brain somehow expects a green.
I don't know what their bias could be instead.
After all, we don't see with our eyes, we see with our brain.
Then I discovered there's a shade of yellow known as green yellow and a shade of green named...
you guessed it.
I'm still 100% sure it's green. Maybe it's yellow green, but it's green nevertheless!
What do you think? Is it green yellow or yellow green?

@LadyDuck Acidino makes me think it might as well be radioactive green.
My mother came to my room earlier and said it's yellow again.

@sabtraversa Parents can be stubborn. My niece and her friends use those weird terms, they are all "fashionista".

@Orson_Kart Exactly, neon or fluorescent are the same, as well as "acidino" and "acido".

@yukimori Yeah, chartreuse green is even greener than yellow green!
So you agree it's green, that's all I wanted to hear!

@TheHorse Oh yes, it really stands out. And it happens to be in the middle of the visible spectrum, the reason might have to do with that.
I should stop buying black lighters and wonder why I always lose them.

@sabtraversa LOL! I'd keep black lighters for about a day. And then the Gremlins would return all of them to in one day. I'd have 100 lighters. And the the cycle would repeat.

@grenery8 I know, I prefer greener greens too! But it's far from the color of the smileys here so it can't be yellow either.

It is a unique color. I would call it coral personally if I had to pick something. To me it looks like a blend of pink and orange..more on the pink side.

@snowy22315 The pink piece appears warm at the top and cold at the bottom, at least in the photo. In person it must be somewhere in between.
It could be American Rose but it may be even warmer than that.
I've already lost the lighter.

@Marilynda1225 I've surrendered to the fact it might be both so I won't disagree.
We simply need a third name to describe this color without prioritizing one over the other, so it must have nothing to do with either green or yellow.
It's like the positive and the negative that neutralize when together.

@sabtraversa I agree that there should be a third name for that color.

Hi Sabrina, it's so great to see you again! Hope you're doing well and living the good life!
At first glance my immediate reaction was that it was green. But then I started to overthink it, and the more I look at it the more it reminds me of a highlighter pen. So then I start to think that it is yellow, like in a highlighter.
Or, it could be a neon green....

@moffittjc Hey Jeff, I'm glad to see you too!! How have you been? I'm managing to feel good despite all that is going on in the world.
Yeah, I came to the conclusion my parents see yellow because of highlighter pens, the yellow one is way closer to this color than the green one, which is darker.

@DianneN Thanks! Glad to know I'm not the only fool (according to my parents) that sees green as it's the winning option here.

That does not look like pink at all to me . I will say that it's red. And for other colour it's more of lime green or neon green to me.

@arunima25 It's either a very warm pink or a very cold red, same thing.
Glad you agree the other one is green.

@aninditasen We started questioning each other about the color of other things, and we all agree the grass is green, so it isn't that bad thankfully.

It's a pink lighter with a touch of yellow green, reminds me somewhat of a highlighter marker.

@jnrdutton Right, the yellow highlighter marker often has a 'green undertone' and that's probably what my parents see. The green highlighter marker is way more green/cold than this.
