I am a Compulsive Thief and Do Not Want to be Helped

Thievery, Pretty self seeding flowers, What are they

I’m confessing to you. I go berserk when I see something I want and just have to have it! If someone is lurking around, I saunter away. Otherwise I steal. I can’t help myself But I only steal when the owner isn’t available. Otherwise, I ask permission. I only steal flowers that need to be dead headed. They overflow onto the streets where I walk and could trip someone. Others are being torn out by landscapers and left in a pile to be discarded. To me, it’s all about trying to grow certain Florida flowers in Connecticut. I have no idea what I am taking, but they are to pretty. Please don’t call the police and be a snitch!

Too funny! I'm certain the owners will be happy with your landscaping skills, and you will find joy in new plants in Connecticut. I won't tell them you did it. I promise.

@just4him I tried to look it up online, but no luck. I have a wonderful book at home which may help. Then again, as long as it blooms with other flowers ,I don’t really care. I forget most of their names! I just want pretty colors.

I hope the seeds I have been preparing work well. I only wish I knew the name of this flower.

@DianneN When/If it comes up you can look it up. I'm sure it will. Not everybody has my black thumb.

We always worried that my mom would get arrested. Plants are happier if they are trimmed, that is for sure.

I will not call the police, I risk to be arrested for the same crime. I "stole" yesterday a piece of a yellow vine rose that looked so pretty. Let's see if I can grow it.

@DianneN My husband complained when I asked him to "shadow" me while I stole seeds from flowers in Italy.

I should have figured you were flower thief, too! I hope you can grow your rose, and I hope I can get my seeds to grow

I hope you don't get busted! I may go back to my illegal planting again. I saw some tempting new large planters at Kaiser the other day. Full of dirt.

@DianneN How will you duplicate the Florida environment? A little extra water (pretend humidity)? Will you keep them inside?

@TheHorse It’s pretty hot and humid during Connecticut summers, so they should thrive unless I screw up planting the seeds.

I hope not either! Can’t wait to see if they grow in CT. Those planters can be so beautiful and heavy.

I will not call the police. I am the same . We are just doing our part to make the world more beautiful or at least our small garden a more beautiful one. It's all justified and not a crime.

I would love to rip out complete flower beds, but I contain myself. I’d definitely wind up in the clinker if I dared do that

Ummm, welllll ............ ok, I won't tell. I don't get why people don't compost clippings instead of leaving them in the way where people walk, it's so rude.

Thanks for not telling a soul! It’s jungle-like here. The people do in fact keep their lawns and flowers in pretty good shape. The gardeners leave everything in the road and then truck it away to compost.

Orville is the town crier! He has such a big loud mouth, too. It’s best for me to pinch flowers when he’s out hunting for fish.

Are those marigolds?. I like them a lot and always include them in my gardens. They repel the deer.
