He didn't call me yesterday; so I don't know how his day went. I doubt there was much going on because there is no physical therapy on the weekends.
I didn't hear from Lavanta on the Reconsideration. I don't have much faith in our winning this one but maybe I'll get a surprise!
I am still trying to figure out where the $1,218 charge came from. The Business Office woman was so helpful. She said for me to go through the paperwork from the insurance company. So I went through a 2 inch stack of papers and only found one for $120. So then I went through 6 months worth of transactions on the insurance website and only found the one transaction for $120 (what we owe). Since the Business Office was of such little help, I found a number in Cincinnati which may be the Corporate Office. I will call their Billing Department and see if I can get a breakdown of the charges..

You need an advocate or? Someone to help navigate the dark world of healthcare messes. I hope you can find out about the bill with no invoice.
The sad thing is they don’t listen and do I ever understand about no one returning calls. So very frustrating!

@lovebuglena Nope. I'm going to have to get really firm with this lady in the Business Office. I need a breakdown of what these charges are for.

They sent a letter saying that we owed $1,218. No invoice.

Yes. He can get 2 weeks of in-home PT when he comes home. After that he has to go to a facility for $40 per day.

I found nothing in hubby's stack of insurance transactions and nothing on the website that matches up with the $1,218.

He didn't have ANY PT because they are waiting to hear about the Reconsideration. I am furious! The rehab facility is the one that needs to explain why they charged us $1,218.

Yes he called me. I'll be amazed if we win....and this Friday they will just pull the plug again....and we'll have to go through it all over again.
